bump for that :(
Whitey @ 2006-12-15 12:31
oh.my.god. I heard rumours that LE would un-nerf NT's but this is.. insane.. do that nanobot thingie, then this.. not sure how it all adds up.. but say if only the 200% thing was running, this would throw out over 20k damage.. actually 22.5k damage from 1 nuke.. add in the enfo debuff (not sure if it overwrites the massive mongo's ultra behemoth (17k hp) doubt any NT has enough VP to get either nano yet to test) and everyone will die in 1 nuke, and if they dont, they will definatly die from 2 .. madness. phear NT's.
Whitey @ 2006-12-15 12:33
ahh ignore the nanobot thing, just saw the defensive focus majiggy. still... ubar nano
Blaumann @ 2006-12-15 13:13
I can already see upcoming WTS threads selling these non no-drop LE crystals for a couple of billion cr. Welcome VP as the 3rd currency in AO, along with cr and CRU.
furay @ 2006-12-15 21:10
these nano's are a waste of time.... at level 200 at least. CD nukes does more DPS.
rico648 @ 2006-12-16 19:38
4375 is the minimum damage youll do on nuke in pvp and 8750 is max (not counting AC's) with nanobot guard running...most professions round around with say 8-12k in pvp setup. so this is basically a guarenteed capped attack...and then this nano is casted 2 more times in the way that CC (candy cane) is.. so in total..youll do 13125-26250 dmg after caps and since reflects no longer count....NTs must be feared by all but NR shades lol
DragonShade @ 2006-12-17 07:13
Yes, but only once every 30 minutes. If you take nanobot guard out of the mix, and assume, say, 30% damage mods, then it's 1625-3250 x3, or a grand total PvP damage of 4875-9750.
And your math is wrong for the nanobot guard, it's only 3750-7500 x3, or a total of 11,250-22,500. So, while that is still likely to insta kill someone, you can only do that once every 30 minutes. Without nanobot guard, this nano isn't as strong as people think. Anyone with 10k+ hp is safe, if the nt doesn't use guard. Think of it as like dimach.... Only good every half an hour. :D
shamasu @ 2006-12-19 04:54
somebody has to say it... nerf NTs :P
rico648 @ 2006-12-25 04:19
wrong dragon, i dont remember which one it is, but the nanobot nano that doesnt have the shield buff in it can be used non stop as long as you have nano to do so...so this nano can be used to constatly alpha people in pvp if you haave suffice nano
Ender2006 @ 2006-12-28 06:44
Just to add a few corrections. the offensive version of the nt 200% dmg line is called nanobot shielding, not nano bot guard. Nanobot guard can indeed be cast quickly but good luck doing that. the drain and nano dot is pretty insane. I'm fully perked for nano regain and it still takes me a minute or so to recover to recast with full nano to be useful again. If someone cast's the nanobot shielding version along with Izzy's triple they will ONLY be able to do so once every 30 minutes and they cannot cast ns or the guard version during that time. Kinda suicidal. So while it is a nice insta kill along with perks on most low hp professions it's also not terribly useful in mass pvp.
Fifty @ 2007-01-13 17:32
Nerf this ffs
Comi @ 2007-01-16 08:05
FC !! nerfbat here plx
Dalek @ 2007-01-18 00:15
Stupid how many fixers and MAs etc exploit the 40% cap and lower HP so heals more ffective, and cry nerf now cos this nano>that set-up.

Its like a 220 carb wearer crying nerf cos people own his set-up...
Shadow.ik @ 2007-01-18 15:34
How kill Anyone in like 2 seconds.... Nanobot Shield + this... This nano must be nerfed
Whitey @ 2007-01-19 13:17
LOL now that NT's are starting to live up to their description (devastatingly destructive via the use of nano formulas) people scream nerf. Err no. This is a NT's SnD, just a bit more powerful. and hey, wait a minute, dont those 2he users get about 10 other DD perks to fire of in under 5 sec? oh yeah, yeah they do. Quit complaining, and get over it, The NT is now a fun, decent prof in pvp. OMFG NERF IT BEFORE PPL PLAY THE NT AGAIN!!!!!111..
Slizzap @ 2007-01-20 23:57
I wouldn't say "a bit more powerful than SnD," I'd say ridiculously more powerful than SnD... I'm a fixer so dun ahve to worry much aboutSnD, and i dun have a low hp steup and this just about kills me in pvp =/... and I thought that the point of the 40% cap was that people could no longer kill u with one hit =/.... toodles to that idea
Sebinox @ 2007-01-22 23:46
LOL does this nano dont have a taunt? You can cast this at 3 secs delay on mobs ^^ WTB VP pls
vexatia @ 2007-01-23 16:20
Yeah, there are confirmed reports of 19k damage in pvp as a result of casting this one time. That's ridiculous. Unlike other professions' alphas, this attack can = a 1 hit kill...i.e. one defensive check, one time. It's a one-button alpha from up to 40 meters...couple the range with nt roots and, well, this one deserves the nerf bat big time.
Shadow.ik @ 2007-02-06 20:43
Now...you understand why some shades got 3+ perks in Notum Repulsor?
Gavyyn @ 2007-02-21 18:10
This formula has been specially regulated by the ICC to ensure that it cannot harm any of the citizens of Rubi-Ka. OMG THEY FORGOT TO REGULATE THIS ONE GAHAHAHAHA WERE ALL DEAD!!!!!
Gavyyn @ 2007-02-21 18:15
but seroiusly i think an LE bomb will kill u slower than this .....
Yakobo66 @ 2007-03-07 15:00
lol had 3 nt's running round zerging whole battleship with the new le nanos... i was worried about over kill on the clanners so they wouldnt come back :|
Shadow.ik @ 2007-03-10 13:16
Wtt all triples for Acrobat perkline for NTs! And meaby even "Carefoul in battle" perkline!
=/ Triple is cheating that should be fixed i think , give us Acrobat or CiB and we are fine >.<
Flink @ 2007-03-19 12:09
At least make it 130% NR def check !!! Fixer's evade debuff has -170 evades and has 130% NR wtf?!?
Flink @ 2007-03-19 12:14
p.s. I LOL big time at NTs who r trying to defend this by comparing to certain perks which require timing and a little thoughtfulness about when and which first and thus can be complex for different profs.
slitheris @ 2007-03-21 16:21
I'm sure you can all get some cheese with that whine.
jamesface @ 2007-03-22 00:31
get some NR and lay off the whines.
Azerial @ 2007-03-25 00:34
truthfully with the cast time on this nano we would have to be like full offense just to cast it at a decent speed which is kinda like yelling target us now!!!! Yes this nano makes nt a power house in pvp... Though at 196 my ma survives it easily, and at 220 i've seen nt's try all day to land it on a enf and never does.
slitheris @ 2007-03-30 07:51
root, NR debuff, this baby... results are easy to figure
Shadow.ik @ 2007-04-05 16:01

Erm, NTs can get over 3,5k nano init now so they can cap it easy + if they wasnt able to cast it on Enf they were gimps , Cons barrage,RE, death enfo
Shadowstrik3 @ 2007-04-08 08:07
All you people whining about nerfing NTs need to just deal with it. NTs have been totally nerfed for long enough and now that FC gives us something worth using everyone starts to cry about it.
reids @ 2007-04-26 16:48
gonna be nerfed in 17.4 with the new damage cap changes
alesicis @ 2007-05-01 00:54
hitting for less more often will always do better than 1 mega alpha with something like the %30 dmg cap. adjust your setup accordingly.
Xira @ 2007-05-10 16:15
a NT had trouble taking me down with a tripple. I dont know why. He must have had bad nano init or something
Dalek @ 2007-05-16 12:55
@Xira he was prolly a noob is trying take you down with a triple, it's a finisher nuke only, IU best until you get the target hp low enough.
Whitey @ 2007-08-20 00:18
Flink @ 2007-03-19 12:14

Eh? since when is firing off a crapload of perks after using MR any different to triple after NBS. Evades are the defence of perks/reg dmg (mostly) and NR is the defence from nukes. Balance...
Shareida @ 2007-11-15 01:07
alesicis @ 2007-05-01 00:54

------
Tell that to the ones who die of shield dmg.
Hell, hitting an advy with a full alpha (if he doesnt evade half of it) does like 3k dmg easily. To yourself.
So, no, hitting for less more often is NOT the key.

I mean, i tried it out, let an advy go full off, get shields/reflects up and launched full alpha on a predrained trader. AS/fling ES/LS/bloodletting/Tap vitae/VS/collapser/implode/Power shock/Power volley aswell as 4 accumulator hits and 6 normal hits until the full alpha was launched.
Summary: damage done to the advy: insignificant, he cooned up after AS. To me: 21x360 shield +21x49 reflect dmg. 7560+1029 damage to me.
Hafenbraut @ 2007-11-26 11:14
@Shareida
I suppose he meant that 1 attack with several hits in PvP (SnD, Triples) do more damage than a single hit could, because they "sneak past" the caps. A triple, with 30% cap, can cost you 90% HP, a SnD 100%.
One single Hit/Nuke, no matter how big, will only do 30% tops.

Ofc, your self-dmg from that attack against shield/reflect AC is nasty, but thats the extreme other end of the line.
So alesicis was halfway right here, and even totally right if you consider on what nano the comment was made.

P.S.: That nuke is very, very evil. 3 hist in one, ignoring reflects ... personally, I would have given that one a longer recharge, along the lines of CH, or a more moderate shield ripper.
Thats a bit over the top for un-nerfing. Maybe not against Advys or Keepers though :)
Pafpuf @ 2007-12-09 22:08
If you get 1 shot killed by SnD at tl7 you should go play another game.

I will like to now how high its his toon and what nr he has cause i just want to now how much nr i need to "dodge" this insane nano cause i cant with 3.2k and im not nerfing my my to go FULL nr just to be able to kill nt's
Mountaingoat @ 2008-04-12 20:37
You'll never have 100% immunity even with nr8 so there is no set number. It's a percentage. NT's will have something like 2.8k AR with this so your already countering most of them unless NR debuffed.
Vabla2 @ 2008-08-30 20:17
Problem is NTs can debuff your NR by 3k in less than 9 seconds while taking off over 3k HP. So NR doesn't help, HP helps only for 5 seconds. And lets not forget that they got PERKS now. Perks that always land due to the NR debuff I mentioned...
Ibrokezyou @ 2009-05-02 10:42
To Shareida:
"This nano will pierce any reflect shields that the enemy has active."
Means no reflect dmg done towards you...
Dilomax @ 2009-05-09 03:42
Psh use the double in PvP if you have any brains.... it will do more dmg in a 10 seconds then tripple and is still 2 different hits so unless you somehow amazingly have all 3 hits capping.. its useless.. that is unless you gank and run in BS
Dilomax @ 2009-05-09 03:44
Also could be used as a massive finisher... but double would be more efficient in any real fight when it comes to how much dmg you can get done the quickest
Ciekafsky @ 2009-08-21 13:14
As i do enjoy low lvl pvp much more than 220 gind/farm fest im a big fan of nanos like this, GTH or whatever. The more of those exist, the more low lvl pvp we have.
