What are you talking about? This weapon is, at the current state (15.8) CRAP, considering the requirements and the difficulty how
to obtain it. Furthermore it's inferior to the SPB. :D
The main-damage from a soli comes from the FA. Now look at that crappy recharge (soli 218): Burst 11s, FA 39s (!).
Compared to the SPB: Burst 6s, FA 12s. Fling-Damage is a nice addition but not really significant.
The normal damage of the SPB on Ado Hecks was 1006 (damage buff, Arul bracers), from this carbine it's about 1500.
So it's simple math - the SPB makes definitely MORE damage than the carbine.
But the MBS is 2500 compared to the 1500 of the SPB? Well, who cares, you should make 15k FAs in any case with both weapons.
Conclusion: It's quite embarrassing for FC that they put new weapons ingame with high/very high requirements and low availability
which are still inferior to the existing (and much lower level) weapons.
Not to forget the 4% XP bonus from the SPB.
So - this weapon is a... (bad?) JOKE. :p

the FA cylce is faster on this gun or am i just not looking at the right thing, SPB=5000 FA cycle, Carbine=4500 cycle, so a little faster FA but 2 or 3 secs slower burst plus fling shot, i dont know if the SBP is better, maybe ur right though, i have not used the carbine

Preach on ericdraven, same case with these Ithacas, I have one that does like 1-58 damage and requires 99 Fling, 99 Aimed, and 199 Sotgun, I already have weapons more powerful than this thing and I can't use it.

BTW for me right now, this Kyr'Ozch thingy is kick ass cause I won't be able to use it for a loooooooooong time.

err... the full auto is a hell of a lot slower then the SPB, the way you work out full auto recharge is something like this:

recharge time*40+ fullautorecharge/100 - (fa skill/25) = recharge.

So for SPB with 2000 FA skill it would be: (40*1)+50-(2000/25)=10
(the hard cap for FA is 11 second btw, so it would be 11 not 10).

For this sucker its: (40*1.8)+45-(2000/25)=37

So you've got a major difference in Full Auto recharge.

Call me old fashion, but i for one am not going pistols...

Lets say this gun had a FA cap of 13 secs... This gun would be the top DD for soldiers... And if you ask me, this gun isn't so "Amplified"

rofl, k il test the weapon abit more carefuly the next time, have about 69k dmg/min whith bouth this and SPB and this weapon will improve more after the spb caps out fully, so err w00t fore weapon thats actuly seems to be more then meets the eye, sorry to say it but ericdraven and the rest of us, FC out-smarted us on this one, yes FA is slower (but will improwe quite abit by the time you hit 2.2k FA) but the normal dmg on this thing is insane... i punched out a 4 bullet FA on a Unicorn Comander and landed a 7k hit... not to bad considering i dount have any dmg adds realy (this weapon is defenetly more relaieble then the SPB even if it dosent OD it, errr to my knowlage at the moment anyway) , oh whell time will tell, maby i will have to report one of my posts here as a "bad post" but untill then... *bows* good nigh. =)

Sooo err acording to the math i have done after tests this weapon is to be preferd against long lived mobs, or medium lived mobs that comes whith weary little downtime during fights, while SPB is better suited for short lived mobs or medium lived mobs whith high downtime betwen em... (pleas note that its not realy the amount of HP a mob has that mathers in this mather but more how fast it dies i.e Corupted hesisi berserkers in pandemonium have alot of heath but dies fast thanks to the almost obsene amount of damege a compleat raid forse puts on it) My math also predicts that this gun will OD the SPB in moast situations if you can get ower 2.2k FA, however sense the SPB will cap way before that i would say that this is weary mutch a end game weapon for assault rifle soldiers that feals like twinking there FA to a insane level... how it preforms against smg/JPGPP.. no idea.. might be abel to match em if you can get the almost unthinkebel amount of 2.4k FA, 2.5k Assualt rifle and errr enouth burst/fling to cap those, however i dount know why im typing this cuse i doubt anyone will belive me, but maby someone that aint "SPB brainwashed" will read it. If so, Good luck. =) (PS if you se me running around whith SPB its becuse im tierd of everyone naging on me 24/7 over using a shitty gun.. al tho it seems like im doing less dmg now then i did whith this weapon <.<)

Nice rundown Rktim, its easy to look at the stats and declare a weapon as crap but actually testing it out for real can produce suprising results. I for one am looking forward to getting my hands on this beauty.

Yeah 2.6k FA is whats needed erm... yeah wtb... but as i said 2.2k shuld do the trick... (personaly i would say that 1.7k did the trick and that it has been going ower SPB ever sense (got 1950ish now)) btw i went 5th (6th whith tank but he gets more action then me on the general -.-) while calling adds at end boss in 28. Only downside i see atm is that glory still aint landing after 2 years.. they can hardly argue that it will become ower powerd if it dose =p I have reported my 2 first posts as "Bad Posts" dount know why there still there but...

i think the problem with glory is, that you can only have 1 proc running at a time. it's the same problem with the agent proc-damage buffs, you can only have DoT oder DD running, never both (or silenced kyr'ozch rifle has same prob, no glory)

i completly agree with Rktim-now although i have no personal experience but this gun completly owns the SPB on paper, it actually puts it too shame. even on short lived/long lived mobs the actual normal hits and flings make up for a lack of capped full autos cause of the higher minimum damage and attack rating cap. so people try it out for yourself..and stop complaing, you finally have your perennium substitute that works.

The damage is awesome.

Yes, you will need an obscene amount of FA to get a low low FA...but tats half the challenge isn't it?
Camp yourself a ql 250 artillery tank for +50 proj dmg add (or even a 200 for +40)
...who needs a RBP? :P Well, ok...I'll take one :)
Add some tasty sabas, sup horde, MoR, Muzzle perk, dmg aura...w00t.

Or you can be a cookie cutter cowboy.
I didnt roll a soldier to use pop guns...YMMV :P

The key to a gun like this and most carbines if people would stop judging the SPB, everyone knows the spb reaches it's limits in the early sl lvl's.. so you are 210-215 don't have the RSPB.. and your not going pistol.. as worn out as that is.. so if you don't have Vic points and want an alternative to raising your min dmg, line of weapons is it, cost effective, and I would rather have a higher base dmg than my specials being all fast at that mid lvl. I tested a 245 barbine to a SPB, and yes the fa is not very nice, but unless you have 2k fa you aint doing 12 second fa's my fa atm is 1450 and i get 20 second recharge SPB and 38 second on the kyr a few seconds out granted, but your base dmg alone, will piss all over the spb if your dmg is set up right, i was dropping 1300-1477 with a kyr, spb still leg peggy along at like 1200 ( just barely). then maybe look at the LE weapon line and RSPB. Anyone who posts pistols this pistols that.. ther enice but why would every one want to be the same in this game.. lack of originality is already in the game people doing the same would be just ZzZzZz.. either way, this is a nice alternative mid sl lvls and don;t knock it until you try which most people have not done on alot of these weapons.. I would like to see some ingame dmg shots of this or a ql 300 kyr, just to see what it's end game capability is...

Full Auto Required for 11sec FA's = ((Recharge x 40) + Full Auto Delay) - FA skill/25
::Full auto delay is full auto recharge/100::

In this case that =
((1.8x40) + 45) -2650/25
which = 117 - 106 = 11secs

Im not sure that can even be done, but damn it would be sweet!

2640 FA gives 11.4 sec recharge = 11 secs 8D
Considering the OFAB Shark Mk6 caps 11secs at <2300....this gun is sadly a wasted option :(
