Customized IMI Desert Reet 1000 Icon #13334 The engraved ivory handle of this Desert Reet suggests that this pistol has been highly modified, and is lovingly cared for. The normal energy packs of the Reet have been replaced with bullet magazines, lowering the bulk of the gun as well as increasing the ammunition capacity. An internal nano factory modifies the bullets, adding a phosphor tip. Occasionally a bullet will be fitted with a self-contained nano program that ignites upon impact.

I actually managed to get these on at level 41 (solitus crat) - someone told me it was easy to get on, so i wouldn't suffer the defeat - after 4 hours of calculating, making implants, getting buffs, changing perks i finally got them on. When i told my friend, she said "You're insane - i said they were somewhat easy to get around level 41, not to get them on"..

Oh well, i got them on, and they kick ass! Even when they were 75% OE, i still did a lot of damage.

Beware, though, if you solo: They pull a lot of aggro ;) Could be fatal :P

Just FYI, to all who wants this gun. Dont expect getting it without outside help, or if your toon is highlevel (which would make the gun useless to you :P). The Lab Director is always camped, since everybody wants what he drops - these guns, orders for crat items, and so on. Find a highlevel damagedealer to help you out ;) Only once have i seen him uncamped, and that didn't last long ;)

Also, his spawn times are a little annoying. 20%ish chance of spawn every 20 minute, so he doesn't show up that often ;)

Actually Minokhoon, since its not profession locked and has no MBS, it is very good at high level, Soldier dualing it with a Jobe City Guard Personal Pistol do very well, Burst/FA/Fling and nice min damage from the JCGPP.

I tried to get this ages ago for my ADV and failed. Played an alt for a long time then logged on the ADV to ungimp him. Went to foremans, no campers and dropped 1st time. w00t !

It's not 100% drop. I camped that place for 4 hours. It spawned 5 times and the first time it dropped, the other 3 it didn't drop. The last one finally dropped it.

My lvl 60 Solitus Doctor Dual weilds these and solos Aztur. Aztur does take like 5 minutes of straight out damage and healing but its easy. Uklesh on the other hand is not easy but my point is that this gun is fantastic. With QL127 Pistol/fling/Burst implants J00 are unstoppable! well not really.... lol

Ive just managed to Twink a pair of these onto my doctor at level 63 (thanks to some serious help), with only a few short trials they look awsome indeed.
Glad i got them before the foremans got nerfed.

Nobody said it was the best pistol, though at the time that you can get it on will make make it one of the best for its level. Plus, its got high minimum damage that isn't really rivaled by any of its peers until you get up to 2x the requirement of this gun. It's also pretty easy to get if you don't count the occasional unlucky streak that pops up now and then.

Speaking of unlucky streaks, I find it very frustrating that I should always die when the Director reaches the last 10%. When I do kill him he just drops one Crat paper for each time I kill him. :p

and if you havent noticed, theres no MBS on this baby so more pistol skill you have the better it gets. i think my advy (206) hits about 600 damage a pop with this and bursts over 1.5k

@donger: at 206 your adv should equip ai pistols type 4 and 1. adv do really have nice (self only) buffs...
my mp hits for 820 (type 1) and 750 (type 4) - burst is at ~2200. all with aruls and dmg rings

This isnt worth putting together a raid team for to kill the notum sol. And btw; with the biomare revamp, the director has 2 new adds, called "Executive protectors" who drop some nice ncu, but have a special attack that does ~6 hits with a higher chance 2 crit. lets just say that my doc didnt like getting hit for ~1.5k :P

Seems like this pistol isn't significantly better than a similar QL Electronicum, except for the sizeable specials (I've been dual-wielding a QL75 Electronicum and a CDR while working up the skills to dual the CDR, and the damage isn't much less for the Electronicum). The Electronicums are much easier to equip, however, so I think I'm gonna stick with those for my NT who hasn't been training for these for several levels (and he's got OET Co. buff guns when teaming). But my doc is loving them, because without good guns a doc just can't do much damage.

This pistol is very good at low level for pretty nice overall damage, and at middle (180 max) for capped specials. At 140-180 JEPP + CDR was very nice for me at ado. After you should really switch to type 1 kyrozch + JEPP. If you wear CDR at 200+ you are total gimp.

This is false. With enough add damage, and i mean a lot of add damage, this gun will still od a type 1. That is a assuming your offhand weapon does not have fling or burst.

@Veara...The comments about the notum soldier dropping this is for this reason: After the biomare revamp and the subsequent level lock at 100 FC didn't want to deprive all those over lvl 100 (who because of the revamp couldn't get into foremans) of all the unique items there, so items like this and the TIM scope were put into loot tables of other RK mobs so they could be obtained by these lvl 100+ players. So Pajeron was asking which OTHER mob drops the CDR and Greldik supplied the answer :)

If you were pvping and you opened up your NCU it would be there for .01 seconds :D

The point of you seeing it in your NCU, would be depending on the Duration Time, not the Attack/Recharge Time.
If you take a second and look there is no duration time, so wondering if they should add a duration time or not, probably wont, but anyways these pistols(Customized IMI Desert Reet 1000) freaking pwn, for a mid lvl engineer.
My lvl 127 Nanomage engineer still uses them with a 200 slayer, and it used them at lvl 41ish, which ODed just about everything in the temple, and when i went to mortiigs in spade, still ODed everyone even though i had a 200slayer, Hecks well it still pwned them too, ODing advies with JEPP, and soldiers with JCGPP, even agents/shades. Engineers PWN if ya know what your doing /tell Nukemeh for help ;)

For ADV there is the added benefit with the JSPP/JEPP + CDR combo... its called the bracer of recondrite flames. That's easy to get on with a single mocham about the same time as you can twink on a JEPP (without ofab/ai armors). The benefit is +23 fire dmg and the change dmg type means u can just use a fire saba and jobe clusters, ring of elements for simplicity as opposed to trying to pump up fire and energy dmg types.

well on my advie i tried kyr+jepp at 150 i cap fa once in a blue moon, but on aliens fire dmg rocks so using 2x cdr is overall better, if you don't believe me pls try it urself i already have :p on hecks tho if you really wanna go for dd i would suggest using some cc, fire aruls and fire dmg rings, for min dmg on hecks and other sl mobs etc but on aliums these do own they make ql 200+ kyr pistols look pathetic.

It's a great weapon in the offhand for a pistol engy. Have something like an untyped Kyr in the right hand, or Engie pistol if you don't visit SL much, CDR in the left from TL3/whenever you can get it on (custom wrist imps will do it and those will be of more use with MR/fling/burst/pistol/RS/NR > Control wrist symbiants if you want pistols with specials). Even though it looks like it'll become useless rubbish by the time you hit TL4, stick with it. That lack of an MBS is truly wonderous and when you have to cut back on burst/fling during TLs3-4, a bit of IP into pistol only will help to keep it useful enough.

When you hit TL5 with the spare IP it brings, and find you can max out Burst and Fling, watch that 10-9sec burst recycle for 1-1.5k a pop (even in SL) really shine coupled with 10sec fling and 1/1 being feasible at nearly full def without so much as a single point in Ranged Init.

If you hit for 600 damage at level 206 with an advy, you are seriously gimped. I would be happy with 600 damage on a level 75 advy, and thats only if I didnt have chiropteras. If there is no way for a pistol advy to hit more than 600 damage at level 206, then pistols must be the worst weapons in teh game, because an advy at level 60 with a chiroptera hits over 1000 90% of the time. The only time I would consider this weapon would be a low level twink. Other than that, there are much better alternatives for advys, and for engies, youve got a bot, you dont need weapons....

I use it still as my offhand on my 113 engi. Its only redeeming feature is Burst, which does hit for 200-600, but on normal hits its not as strong as my QL155 Machinist pistol (75% OE even). But still, the fast special cycles have saved me a couple times, unleash 600-1.2k dmg in 1second from 2 specials and a shot from the engi pistol simultaneously. I'm gonna try dualling these on my doc and see how they work. I'l be replacing the SOL Med lasers

Well, i managed to take down the Director with a Lesser Warbot. I first killed the 2 guards outside the Dir's room, then went inside, and hid behind the first, right collumn. From then, i sent my bot in to attack, and only came out of my cover to spam bot heals (Remake Casting).

Anyways, after seeing a lvl 60 advy in totw hitting something like 450-800 w/ this gun dualed, i'm impressed enough to have this be my doc's first and only DD wep.

My doc is 150 atm and still uses one of these :P I can get 1k crits/flings out of it and it works pretty well, dual wielding it with a Parasitic Hecataleech (drops from IS). Parasitic Hecataleech works fine (so does CDR) until 151 when you should definitely get Special edition Kyr Pistols (require AI)
