I noticed that if you execute bio cocoon while using the SL cyclic shields it over-rides the shield and wipes it from your NCU, replacing it with the bio nano. Does that hold true to these nanos?(the non-SL kind)

Omikurita @ 2004-06-27 10:18
no, since these do not absorb

Notaninja @ 2004-08-21 19:59
ehh they do absorb Omikurtia

Bio shield perk as said cancels the absorb effect, and you'll need to recast the nano to get it back (doesn't refresh with absorb again)

These "non-Cyclic" "survive" a Bio Cocoon, so imho the better Choice since you won't want to miss the BC.

since the cocoon is clearly something you want to use only in case of an emergency, and since you do not really need a dmg shield in that case, I'd say the cyclic shields are still far better. besides, at lvl 195, its nearly instacast, so nothing stops you from recasting it as soon as BC fades out.

I use biococoon when I start a PvP match. It usually absorbs almost all of their alpha, during that time, the extra 2K damage from my RK shields+bio shield perk (250ish a hit, and and about 8 hits before cocoon goes) makes the difference.

was funny to use this and rrfe at lower levels before the pvp damage shield nerf. people got hit back for more than they hit you :P

reflect = reduce incoming damage by percent + throwing back part of it
shield = does NOT reduce incoming damage + throws back constant damage
Actually you can stack those.
Your damage shield hit xyz with 400 points of damage.
Your reflect shield hit xyz with 56 points of damage.
Each hit. Why not.
