As rare (and crazy) as Nanomage Shades are.. why do they get 100 melee init? You'd think they wouldn't get any :/

no the trox gets the +50 extra init, everyone gets the AAO and AAD

and even if it were ... shades are supposed to be opi
nm get bonus on the nanobot shields of the nt profession aswell

kicking & punching is rather bad imo, as hits are capped on 40/minute or such, ma combined would make dmg go lower
