this versus 15% crit scope:
on 100 hits i'd do 15 crits, crit dmg difference to normal hits is at 1400 - so 15*1400=21000
on 100 hits with this device i'd do 100 extra damage per hit - 100*100=10000 (not exactly correct cause eventually i'd gain a little extra damage by the aao)

this device is not "sexy" - at least not for fighting classes.

It is for those using specials a lot with minimal crit difference... i.e. soldiers. :)

its not so bad, in pvp +crit is nerfed, so if your up vs. someone with any crit resist your VTS might not be as big of a deal as you make it out to be.

that said in PVM i've calculated +1 crit to be ~+15 damage for my mongoose using adv. 15*15=225, and this does not beat that. pistols, assaultrifles and most melee weapons tend to have lower Crit damage than rifles/bows, so those are the ones that should think of using this.

that said, for pvp i'll be using the defensive research device

Remember that Shadowlands sided Mobs are Crit resistant.

Crits=over rated for non MAs/shades/enfs I.E "fighting profs" As stated earlier..... seeing how crits work well for enfs... and shades who want to DD as much as possible.... for a soldier this is perfect..... for a pvp AR whore shade / MA / Enf its also perfect..... but what he failed to mention is.... AR>crits pvp wise I>E unless your prof=MA which in that case.... you need AR to hit on evade profs..... but what wasn't stated again.... is fixers that are what some would say "twinked" at 220 known as..... rich+time+300 symbs?Aye fixers are insane evaders.... even more so against the ranged profs...so basicly what this long as post means is.... Preference>Others telling you what you should use.... I remind you all of the 1 rule of posting on auno. Think.

Id take this for the AR, the damage is not really that noticable at level 200+ but off course it helps...
