Oh dear, was really hoping FC would put right where they went wrong with the AI carbine....seems they just increased the damage slightly and changed the mesh, the FA recharge in this is about 30seconds with 2k FA skill....which makes it do less damage overall than the 4year old SPB, wtf FC!

does the SPB not have a 5k FA cycle? is that not a slower recycle than this, by almost 10 seconds?

No. The calc for determining special recharge times is recharge time * 40+ full auto recharge/100 - (fa skill/25) = recharge.

SPB with 2000 FA skill works out to be...(40*1)+50-(2000/25)=10 (Although I think the SPB is hard capped at 11secs)

This pile (40*1.6)+45-(2000/25)=29

SPB is 1/1 while this is 1.6/1.6....and that .6 in the equation makes a big difference.
Anyway, I was thinking of perking out of smg (as Soldier) back into a decent 2 hand weap...but this wont be it.
/me sad. Troxy soldier with pop guns look naff. WTB viable 2hand weap that lets me kicks some a$$ Rambo/ChainGun Stylez!!!

I can't understand the guy who made this weapon :(( .... with the FA skill that soldiers with have in LE he puts only 25 bullets on weapon jeez :(( I was shooting with 27 bullets with perennium....

Ah...I always missed that portion of the eqation (the 40*recharge). I guess having used a weapon with 1sec recharge since forever, that part of the eqaution was essentially never needed for me to figure out my recharge time

I think the attack/recharge has been reduced to 1.5/1.5 so the FA recharge cap should be easier to reach....easier but still hard ;)

Needed FA skill to cap is now 2375, which is possible. I'm getting 2360 atm, so just need to swap in Red Belt from TNH as soon as it drops ^_^
Btw, Anisher?! Can't remember excactly, but with SRPB i was shooting 28 or 29 bullets with FA :p (didn't make a difference anway ^^)

Well, seems 17.2 version is just a decrease to recharge/attack to 1.4 sec, the cycles are still the same

And it seems you need 2240-2250 full auto to get 11 sec full auto recharge with the new numbers, better but still not good for the normal soldier who cant afford ai armor.

(40*1.4)+45-(2240/25) = 11.4

so to take advantage of all the extra proj dmg from research perks, the magic number is now 2240

Thats right. Most Noob-stick soldiers don't even realise that our LE procs are energy/proj damage only, so with a Mk 6 Shark you get an extra 158 damage per shot with both procs up...then there are things like RBP, Artillery Tank that don't buff cold damage but adds a nice bit to projectile.

PvM this thing is noticeably better than a Dshark..Of course for PvP then the Dshark has its own merits.
