Spinetooth Skin Icon #161080 The skin of the Spinetooth has a couple of very interesting properties that made it very valuable to the ancient Xan. It is incredibly elastic and can stretch far more flexibly then even all but the most complex modern artificle materials. This made it perfect for using in many manufactoring processes.
It is believed that the Spinetooth species was once a domestic creature farmed by the Xan for its skin, but mutations into its now more hostile form caused them to abandon that farming when the Spinetooths developed a taste for anyone who got to close. This was not seen as suitable working conditions for most Xan.
