I reckon that as with West Wind Katana, u are dbl wielding fists & melee. This is traduced with more hits per min (see http://users.adelphia.net/~chronita/index.htm under MA weapons for the details). Since dependant on martial arts 100% the actual hit rate should not be affected (as to whether it affects critical hit rate would be interesting to know). That MA's only should use fists is definetely a falacy :-). kind regards.

I was talking to a friend of mine who is a 220 MA and has this, and he said it's not that great unless you're killing mobs that you're doing min damage on. So this is pretty much just an upgraded TT.

less use for MAs, more use for high level non-MAs using MA skills (ie, TroxDoc ;) who don't have access to the various MA nanos.

correction to my earlier post: its great even on lower ac mobs since all dmg BoB does is all extra, as long as you only use 1 BoB so you will be doing combined attacks by fists & BoB aswell hitting faster.

yeah i dont think a doc can. Even at level 220 a ma only gets 1300ish from IP. With symbs, items, buffs and perks i imagine you could get it to 2k+, but I serirously doubt that a doc could get 2k ma skill. Doctors are best sticking to weapons at any rate. Say theres a doc and a ma, both with 1k ma skill, the ma would still outdamage them because of the way damage is calculated with ma skill. Shades can also use martial arts, better than most professions, but not as good as ma's.

Oh, I forgot to mention, the damage is in addition to your fists. Its not replacing them, its working with them, so its like a damage bonus. Also theyre the coolest looking weapons in the game IMO. :)

I believe that tripple wielding (fists + MA-weapon) is a little more advanced then what has been discussed here. The official forum is down atm, but you can read about it there, in The Dojo if I'm not mistaken.
If my memory servs me, it was something like MA's getting 48 hits per minute with fists only and 40 with fists and 20 with weapon when you tripple wield. I could be so wrong here though! :)

From personal experience.. Comileee RK2
None- good on aliums and general rk mobs, also on pvp, works best w/crit setup
One- good on medium defense mobs, good on fast atk-kill places like apf 35'
Two- awesome on high defense mobs, also superb to solo hard mobs if you have disharmony maxed.

The multi melee investment is 100% worth the IP investment unless you are only devoted to pvp(where they suck), they also look awesome :P

It's easy to get on at 210. Towers, Combined Merc's, decent symbs, and Moonmist will make it cake to get on. If you can't get it on then, just grab a wrangle/umbral from a trader :)

With LE (+100 MA) a trox Doc can get a BoB on with just MA Mastery from a low level MA (no wrangle) if they have full CM. And any breed can probably do it with only a 131 Wrangle.

Of course it would! For many reason, first multi is stronger overall because of all that is +add dmg. Second, martial arts is the 2nd cheapest IP wise skill wise, it also goes up higher, so that equals high attack rating, so you miss less and perks miss less too (not all). Phisic Init is also cheaper. What you will have less, fast attack...that hurts.
Anyway best doc skills in order are : Pistol then MA, then all equal Shotgun, Piercing, 1h edged, 1h blunt then all equal again Smg, 2h edged, 2hblunt, melee energy...then the rest which sucks anyway.
I believe multi is better so, that leaves pistol that are overall bad weapons, BOB, a good choice, 1h edged for sneak pvp, 1h blunt probably the ultimate pvm weapon for docs.
Trox doc, 1h blunt ftw.
