Item Database - Vektor ND Grand Wyrm

Vektor ND Grand Wyrm Icon #257711 The Vektor ND (Neo design) is a strange design. Using self-flagellating Toiler-Bots to build up thrust within the sectional chamber (when the cartridge is in), firing the gun spreads the beam, giving a Shotgun-like effect most people don't expect from a weapon carrying energy ammo. The Grand Wyrm is a modified Dragon, offering greater destructive power. Included in the upgrade package is an energy reservoir which drains an opponent and periodically transfers their power to the wielder.

hmmm?! LUB!
Sypiken @ 2004-12-15 10:24
Finnally traders got their lub..

Now FC, it's time to nerf this item. =P
Sypiken @ 2004-12-15 11:51
Vektor ND Grand Wyrm
Your critical hit will be 10295 points.
Your normal hits will vary between 1813 and 3770 points.
Over 10 seconds you would do about 22770 points of damage.
You would score 3.66 normal, and 1.22 critical hits

Ops, I think that will be a funny hit to get stuffed up ur arse in pvp...

That calc was made with a estimated AR of 2,5k (Witch shuld be reachable at 220) And the 10k's crit damage... Jup, ur talking power here... Add up some pretty nice normal hits..
Ariac @ 2004-12-15 12:18
3 lucky hits in pvp... All it takes to kill a nanomage with this.
This is approx what AS's would have been like if they didnt have 100% hitrate. Add up self equipping with ease and you got traders shooting AS \ Fling with their ichaca's or OneHanders and then equipping this little hellmachine to try land some crits..

And my personal experience is that crit hits rarely come alone, normally is something like crit crit \ crit crit crit \ crit crit crit crit or even more crits... Rarely just a single crit. Atleast if you got 20% or more crit %
(experiencing it pretty often with 11%)
tet @ 2004-12-15 12:31
and where drop this nice shooty?
Keex @ 2004-12-15 16:30
nowhere at this time :)
Cookiedent @ 2004-12-15 18:47
too bad, you forgot to remember the 1/6 cap above 1000 AR (support class).
CruisefiX @ 2004-12-15 19:09
1/6 ? i thought 1/4
iNDi @ 2004-12-15 21:18
It's 1/6 for Traders afaik. And the crits of the dmg-calculator aren't calculated correct.
Cookiedent @ 2004-12-15 21:19 Eh, but you unsured me, Cruisi :P
So i started an experiment: i shot down a leet in the BY with an AR of 999.
My crit on a lvl1 Leet with a 226-Shattergun was 2569.
Then i drained up additional 348 AR (+999=1347)
My crit on a lvl1 Leet was 2678.
Using the Damage-Calc of i only have an effective AR of 1061.
62 goes in 348 6 times (well, exactly 5.61)...that`s closer to 1/6 than 1/4 ;)
That leads us to an effective AR of roundabout 1300 for a 220 Trader.
With the Wyrm you`ll get crits about 6k (still nice!!) and average hits between 1060 and 2200.
Shareida @ 2004-12-17 08:41
Dont forget the damage adds to add to the crit off Bracers, shotgun perks etc, wich leaves us at 6.5k crits. Bein in a team with crat, sol, keep or thelike (maybe all of them!!) gives us additional +500ish AR.. no comment on the Crit/whatever =D . I expect 7k+ crits easily.
Cookiedent @ 2004-12-17 15:15
Yes, of course. I did my little experiment without any additional equipment or buffs, that add any extra dam (token board, symbs, bracers etc.) just to bring down the results to a common denominator.
Ariac @ 2004-12-18 18:52
So sypikens estimate is way out of line then I guess?

But I would expect crits off 7k still. =)
Shareida @ 2005-02-11 02:39
got the first of 2 needed items to make the gun >.<
Cookiedent @ 2005-03-04 12:44
Has to be built. You need a Energy Redistribution Unit (257961)(drops in sector 35) and a Vektor ND DRAGON Shotgun (124262) (sold mine for a /blowkiss long ago...jackass).
Morthoseth @ 2005-05-20 01:08
Can an agent equip this in FP? >_>
zyx22 @ 2005-05-27 16:41
User Profession == Trader

I'm thinking not.
HDX @ 2005-06-19 04:03
This exist in-game yet?
Shareida @ 2005-06-22 04:19
Cookiedent @ 2005-07-30 02:36
Ok, got mine now.
I'm a bit disappointed. With an AR of ~1850 i get min. hits of ~1200, max. hits of ~2200 and crits about 5800. That includes 2 Energy-Bracers, 2500-board etc.
If you want to get any advantage out of this thingie, you MUST equip a critscope 8+ to compensate the lower mindam in compare of the Mudurlugu.
termos @ 2005-07-31 17:56
how are the procs working out? I would imagine the heal helping to keep you alive at soloing, but because it's slower the accumulator wont tick as much as it will with a salabim (not that it's possible to equip a ql 300 at level 210 anyway). The max dmg is a little higher than the scoped salabim, so how does it work on low AC mobs or even with ac debuffs running?
Moniker @ 2006-05-17 13:56
good god imagine if it were fpable, agents have buffs that make them crit 100% of the time!
Engelen @ 2006-05-18 16:22
If a agent wanted to be a shotgun crit whore he would equip a upgraded Diamondine pistol + a Onehander to have AS \ Burst \ Fling dualwield and sick crits Moniker. So still wondering why a agent would want to ask this since a combination with fling \ burst \ AS would be one hell of a lot better.
Jahf @ 2006-06-11 23:35
like ... umm ... remove the Trader tag :)
Shadowslave @ 2006-09-20 21:15
WTS No Drop tag, WTB Vektor ND Grand Wyrm! :P
leite @ 2006-12-24 20:34
Scoped Salabim > This baby?
Twader @ 2007-11-11 19:38
I just got this today, mostly for fun, but im still disappointed :(
Vabla2 @ 2008-08-06 04:42
Thanks to the new crit drains these are coming back into fashion.
Shareida @ 2008-09-27 04:51
Indeed. Got mine now. Just missing 5 gem aruls to get the maximum outta this baby.

Pulling agg like a maniac with 6k+ chaincrits already. Funny look on the Enf face when he mongos and you pull agg back after 2 hits.
Shareida @ 2008-09-27 04:53
You hit Ground Chief Aune for 5773 points of energy damage.Critical hit!

Oh yeah. That too. AC drains are fun.
Heltfeil @ 2008-10-23 14:50
With OSB traders can get 88% crit chance now (or 87% if you dont wanna swap out prof deck after draining ;), so this is the best Q /afk gun atm. If you gonna stick around while killing the mob, Silverback MK 5 beats it with its fling if your on RK, while Wyrm regains the throne if the mob got more then 12k AC after AC drains.
Heltfeil @ 2008-10-23 22:41
Sowy, its 89% w/o prof deck and 88% with.
Bluetavius @ 2009-03-14 23:42
trader gets 100% crit chance now with shutdown skills, if you have the gun running on 1/1 attack speed you can land 2 crits for massive damge if you time it right
Antagonist @ 2012-02-24 00:21
Shame about the level requirement. A level 200 froob could definitely equip this otherwise.
Kuingar @ 2013-05-12 13:55 couldn't, Antag :P
Pung @ 2014-07-21 23:23
You hit Field Marshal - Cha'Khaz for 6569 points of energy damage.Critical hit!
