If you want to look cookie-cutter, this is the gun for you.

connection if you want a viable weapon this is the gun for you, unless you wanna be an advie look a like with pistols.

I fully realize WHY this is a popular gun, I just think FC should have offered some other decent options. They went out of their way to make this the best gun in just about every way, and IMO it really sucks to see so little diversity.

1. Easy to equip. Not in terms of skills necessarily, but despite the fact that it is made from an adapted Nano charged assault rifle, it doesn't require ranged energy (a requirement for the nano rifle). Another skill SL soldiers don't have to bother with. The full auto req in comparison to the weapon skill is also lower than many other weapons which require an equal amount of FA.
2. Single attack skill. Again this goes back to it's nano charged rifle source...most popular Rubi-Ka soldier weapons have split AR: Division 9, Nophex, Heavy Suppressor. This means perennium users have higher AR more easily, especially when AR is more easily buffed than ranged energy or SMG.
3. Speed. 1s equip/attack/recharge? give me a break. The ability to go 1/1 on full def with lower inits craps all over other guns.
4. Compared with other full auto rifles, the perennium carries a larger amount of ammo and has a (relatively) short recycle.

In conclusion, I agree it's a viable weapon, even THE weapon to use. But only because funcom made it better than every other option.

Note the date "noob". Oh and the sniper and beamer while good actually have something past them, while soldiers have nothing beyond the blaster.

i was able to equipt this piece of fine machinery at lvl 130. Along with a tier 2 helmet.. was a pain in the ass

QL300 Kyr'Ozch Pistol - Type 4 and QL160 Jobe Soldier pistol are much better than QL200 Perennium blaster. Just Check out the damage yourself.

Not even a 300, I was ODing my SPB with a 199 type 5 Energy pistol, and 157 Jobe City Guard.

Well, Spb get better at level 220 .. But from 190+ you should start using Jobe City guard 160 and a kyr'ozch pistol around 200+

when u get 11 sec FA on SPB, it is the best soldja wep in game

this gun is better than pistol because of burst and FA
try hitting 10K dmg with full auto at level 116? bet you cant with a damn jobe pistol or kyrozch pistol

the only down side it has is when twinking on a high ql one the full auto is a pain to get

i dount like the fact that i dount have a real option whit this gun... Getting jobe pistol is a pain in the *** and the prices on alien pistols.. *shrugs* i want a desent Soldier Flame Thrower/Assult rifle whit good looks/Heavy weapon or shott gun to have as a option... im not happy atall playing whit this gun and it has killed the fun but i cant use anything else or i will loos up to 50% damege eaven if i get the best alternative (Yeah yeah i know.. spastic... got one ql 266 but getting a trun spirit... emmm no.. u know >.< )

Get a Hellspinner. Upgrade it once. Go to APF. Upgrade it a second time. Throw away your peren.

Or... You get the idea. There's atleast a couple more choices for the endgame stuff - Sure, not as easy to get, but a little camping never hurt nobody.

problem is, none of the other endgame weapons are viable, the SPB blows them away.

Kyr'Ozch Pistol - Type 4 o.O Use Kyr'Ozch energy pistol - type5, at least it has fling+burst. No need to cap pistols then, you'll save HUGE amount of IP, AR cap on JPGPP is 1k. And anyways you'll need RE for Kyr'Ozch Energy Carbine - Type 3

Well said Rktim, with the right set-up any of the highend soldier guns can OD each other, yes a pistol soldier might one time OD a SPB, then another time the SPB wins out - its all about set-up. I will admit though the SPB is the easy route to DD heaven, pretty low reqs compared to similar damage weaps and pretty common to get hold of too.

This used to be good but SPB < Pistols... 1.6.3 Might bring out an upgraded version of this wich requires the Lord of Anger to upgrade it to SRPB > Pistols

humm, reading the rest of the crap here im looking at people putting this weapon down, to get ql 300 ai pistol on pre tl 7 would require full set of supple/css and thats just expensive. spb=best poor guy weapon in game.

Not to mention all the parts are easy to get. The gun is rollable, the sheet and screw are general drops from hecklers.

SRPB = Superior Rebuilt Perennium Blaster
right now this weapon ain't in-game or at least not on live servers. it is in the test server's db. just update your test client and rip the db. there's more data on the SRPB. or just check the 16.3 forums

that SRPB has same stats as the SPB right now EXCEPT the fact that it looks like Lord of Anger and has 1k more MBS than the old version. probably going to be a real nice thing :D

SRPB is now confirmed on live. Made from LoA, SPB, and inferno quest part.

I've seen lvl 140 soldier with that wep+T1 armor against agent with SPS, agent felt to 5% with 3-5shots (icluding FA and Burst)...

still good damage for the price no? i mean 19M for this and i hear 300M for only a JCGPP.. would like to see just by how much pistols OD the SPB or SRPB. will teams just laugh at you if you use SRPB at lvl210?

what a soldier should do pvm wise \ dd wise is almost that simple
jpgpp + kyr machine pistol - type 5 (both are energy dmg...), FA + burst + fling
then train the RE perk for 200+ dmg perk, and a combo of 3 attacks inc stun IF u got RE maxxed
With RE maxxed u can use kyr energy carbine type 3, it checks against Duck, and has AS + fling
dont use the jpgpp + energy pistol w/ burst, or pistols, use the KMP
then train the smg perkline for 200+ dmg perk perks and stun
with supressive horde perk 1 u'll get 220+ dmg or something

I have never used either weapon, but I think I would use this because of the full auto.. 15k damage in one hit followed by a burst and a few hits is really nice
