Just thought I would point this out to those who were not aware - this shoulderpad, when activated, causes the same effect as Withered Flesh - a 500 pt absorb shield for 30 seconds. It's even the same nano. So I wouldn't worry too much about getting this one, Withered Flesh is easier to activate, easier to aquire, and causes the same effect with the same skill-lock time.

For those old chars can´t get the little one from ToTW because of LvL-Req.

What the? Skin of Beliver gives the same absorption as the low level TOTW one gives?

Dropped for me on 1st floor today, from Archdeacon Saemus. Probably rare though.

I don't see the point of having this IS version, a 500 absorb for a lvl125+ toon is pretty shitty. They should have stuck a 2-3k absorb at least on this IS version, just like the might of the revenant compared to barrow strength. And as my fellow soldier Tepamina pointed out its pretty rare too.....rare and crap, good one FC.

After you use the nano there is a lock that makes it so you can't just click and run that shield again right away.. but is the lock on the nano or the shoulder pad? Can you use this and whithered flesh, and run the nano from one, and when it dies just right click the other one and start the nano over again? if so, you would have a 1k absorb

A massive +40 AC? 120 AC means jack squat at level 125, let alone at any level. It will reduce damage by what, 4 points more then the other one? It's not even worth to keep for the Skin of the Believer buff unless you didn't get Withered Flesh from TOTW - because both do 500 absorbs and they didn't even bother lowering the recharge time. Wouldn't bother with it.

When you right click it you get "Skin of the Believer" which is a 500 absorb of any damage type

the fact it has the same on-use effect as withered flesh seems like they put a placeholder effect and never updated it. Very sad, as a decent absorb shield would make this an incredibly useful item. Instead its just kinda trash that you only get if you forgot to pick it up in totw...
