what a shitty nano
plasmatorch @ 2002-10-14 07:30
LMAO OMG there is at least one nano that is now uncastable by a profession as a whole
Jaxin @ 2002-10-20 05:51
It is obviously used on pets to help them keep aggro/tank better with the new boss mobs. It is probably some of the "gear" funcom mentioned that would take time to collect. Thats what I think anyway :)
Mordeo @ 2002-11-04 16:26
*LoL!!* Ok, let's see... very short duration, high nanocost, very high level req, low damage bonus, low shield buff, half-decent offense modifier, long casting time, and extremely high skill reqs.... AND hard to get?? I think engies should be _paid_ to upload this (and given free mochies and wrangle to be able to) ;p
rudeboy @ 2002-11-20 02:51
it gets worse. You can only get it from the Obediency Enforcer
Stepho556 @ 2003-01-18 03:45
Raises and interesting question though, I've never seen my bot do anything but melee damage, is there a way to change that? If not, why does it boost damage of all types?
voltaiire @ 2003-03-28 22:32
Is this the one w/green shield effect ?
Xyboc @ 2003-06-27 19:08
Drops from the Obediency Enforcer.
Jestra @ 2004-01-21 13:17
Target Breed == human ... somehow I doubt it's a pet buff ...
Craggor @ 2004-02-04 23:57
Jestra the fact that it says: Temporarily enhances the engineer's combat pet
makes me think that it is a pet buff....DUH!
Omikurita @ 2004-02-27 14:24
what are you complaining about ? its 220 addoff and 60 shield ... its great
picsl2 @ 2004-03-05 22:07
to emphasize the negatives on this nano let take a look at it step by step.
1. Yeah the Attack time of 7.15s is long but, by this time you get this nano program u would already have a 6 slot belt and been able to get a recompiler maxed out nanoC.Int which will be around 1100...which translates to (at full agg) -6s on attack times.
2. Cost: well in this case it's all about what breed you are here go nanomage if your concerned if not a nanomage then you will have no problem (making also) wearing QL 200 omni carb at the least to get more nano....what the exact amount is that it will give i have no idea use auno's armor config tool lol.
Lastly: the Duration....well yeah it sux but the amount of bengys that u get are Phnominal campared to other Bot buff's/trimmers 60% of the damage that your bot is taking is getting thrown out for 34 seconds heck thats better or rival to NT's having Nullity Sphere since this program doesnt resrtict movement. Remember Add All off. makes you attack faster also.let alone more dmg.
Tzalloch @ 2004-03-07 05:51
Anything that'll make that bot hit harder and hold aggro better is golden. After all thats all an engy has to worry about essentially :P
Obedience Enforcer also drops the item for uber soldier weapon and Punishment Rod for enforcers.
cybo @ 2004-04-20 15:07
there is a little misunderstanding there...
ShieldAC here only means it adds a 60 damage shield only...
No damage is taken of the bot, otherwise it would have been ReflectAC (just check nullity sphere it's ReflectAC 100).
But still the addall off bonus is really nice, combined with omni-pol pacification logic system ^^
cybo @ 2004-04-20 15:08
err actually on nullity sphere it's reflect <type of damage here>
ReflectAC is the max amount of damage a reflect shield can return to the opponent.
Halouk @ 2004-06-03 23:16
You guys are nuts =) This nano is teh pwn. And I'm an atrox eng. This nano rocks if you put the work in to keep it running on your bot all the way through a fight
Hamburglar @ 2005-01-17 19:22
What would be otherwise be an excellent nano is quite spoiled by a 34s duration. The only situation I could see as possibly viable to use it is if you're cycling heals on the bot out of the monster's LOS and can easily outheal the monster's DPS (so that you're not losing time on heals).

7 minute buffs are hard enough to keep on, let alone a 34 second one.
LanceHeart @ 2005-01-23 22:07
This seems to be the Engineer Pet version of TMS... But unlike TMS (even MK1), this one isn't even worth it. The Nano cost also justifies this.
Serturos @ 2005-01-29 16:58
humm let me see, Nano cost reducer -14, HE +250, Cost reducer -24, Omni carb ( if your that needy ) + 400 nano pool, ql 200 chest nano 105 + waste 264 nano pool, and there is numerous Symbiants that have cost reducers and several other items to help, Also in raids/dyna camping for your lovley toys from SL, Maker's touch is 470 recasting Slayer 2114... I know I would have this nano just as a reserve if anything, but thats just me and the other PROBLEM ....Obediency Enforcer
spardeous @ 2005-02-13 11:36
You say this is crap, but us poor ma's get a an even crappier(compared to this) nano like this, it lasts for 40-80 seconds, and increases our melee dmg.
http://auno.org/ao/db.php?id=218090
Twice the req, same fucking thing if you ask me. Not to mention Engys get another dmg buff that is much better than this.
If you want to complain about anyones' nanos, complain about ma's crappy nanos, cause ours' makes this one look like an engy version of GA.
Hamburglar @ 2005-02-15 05:48
Why would you link to a shadowlands nano Sardeous? Not to mention, that's a fricking +305 damage buff. Yeah, so comparable to the piddly little +20 this gives (and that lasts 80 seconds)

Rofl I'd like to see any engy damage buff come close to comparing with that. Our elite entropy weapon is a +20 damage buff, WOW! Our entropy aura is +25 WHOOPY!
spardeous @ 2005-02-15 07:18
Don't you know what offensive modifier means? It means + to attack, so this adds +240 dmg, not +20.
zyx22 @ 2005-02-25 07:28
saprdous = noob.
Syberiath @ 2005-04-08 21:22
to get it to the point .. me as engi won't never go out without ... its worth the recasts in any case !!!

most mp would give left arm for that buff ...
zyx22 @ 2005-05-01 07:02
bongbong @ 2005-05-23 18:18
well zyx22 the fact that this nano is easier to come buy and sells alot cheaper :) but none the less the evocation is a damn sweet buff.
Sensori @ 2005-05-25 15:43
I don't get it. What were you people whining about? Add Omni-Pol Pacification Logic System (http://auno.org/ao/db.php?id=205249), this, Intrusive Aura of the Humble Servant (http://auno.org/ao/db.php?id=204370), entropy aura, a spiffy damage trimmer (http://auno.org/ao/db.php?id=88378)... And you get a HUGE boost to damage on your bot. 446 + 220 + 100 + 40 to off, 20 + 25 to damage directly. *806* to off combined, 45 to damage. How's this a crappy nano? Might be a bit short lived, but a short lived huge boost to damage is always welcome. Off kind of directly translates to damage.

Hamburglar, look at the nano cost of the MA nano. Then look at the same of this nano. See the difference? It's god damn massive. Same thing with nano skill requirements and level requirements. This one might take longer to cast, but with the kind of nano init you'll have by the time you can actually use this nano, it shouldn't be a problem at all.
Sensori @ 2005-05-25 15:47
Oh yeah, and for all the wise asses out there, no, I didn't mean that 806 off translates directly to 806 damage, I just meant more off = more damage. And yes, the damage boost is still MASSIVE. Will make your crappy old Slayerdroid look like a god in damage when compared to droids with worse damage boosting things.
asche @ 2005-07-01 15:29
About attack rating... every 400 points of ar adds 100% of current weapon dmg. Thus this nano alone should add around 100-200 dmg or so to a slayer guardian. And 60 pts more to dmg shield. Not that bad.
foolish @ 2005-07-21 07:00
Only thing i can see thats bad about this is the level lock :( I want it NOW!
Alekztwnkrox @ 2005-08-19 18:04
Oh my god...
Takun @ 2005-10-25 09:21
The nano cost on this is nothing...not only are the -#% symbs in place but the +nano delta.. try casting those 2000 nano Combat Boosters on 2 pets + Intrusive Auras every 15 minutes then talk to me about nano problems.... TT_TT Plus by this time you have that pocket NT you made? :P
slytha @ 2005-11-11 15:50
in higher lvl this nano is like a expertise, very easy and with no att. time to cast. the nano delta is higher than the nano cost of this nano so you dont need a nt with humi or ncr, ll^^. the dmg is increased up to 200 points, so i remind. i think the protection is increased when it runs, but im not sure ;)
its easier to heal my pet if this nano runs than without this great thing.. the 30 seconds duration is bad but as engi you dont have to do sth all the time ;) so its more than good
Snakebite @ 2005-11-19 04:09
Lvl81 & can cast it with ease... If it wasn't for the damn lvl lock... Doh!
Vunts @ 2005-11-27 13:19
575 nanocost... booooo hoooooo. i'm a frickin atrox engi at lvl 126 and i aint whining about that nanocost. bloody hell. 34 secs of more dmg is normal enough to just "spam" this nano. keep nano window open, and when it runs out, just cast it again. wth is so crappy about this?
Snakebite @ 2005-11-27 22:05
That last post should have said lvl181, but doesn't matter cos I'm now over 185... :)
Just gotta get it now...
EldarZach @ 2005-12-09 08:43
Post- AI/SL this is easier than anything to cast. I really dont see why people are complaining about spending 4 or so seconds every 20 seconds for a massive boost to their pets' skills, and 575 nanocost is like nothing. On top of that its pretty in-expensive to just buy, or not too bad to camp for.
Snakebite @ 2006-01-03 08:15
Where exactly is the Obediency Enforcer anyway?
& does he need spawning?
Ayngel @ 2006-01-04 18:33
spardeous @ 2005-02-15 07:18
Don't you know what offensive modifier means? It means + to attack, so this adds +240 dmg, not +20.

Ok, I know this has been said already, but ROFL @ spardeous. You noob. Don't YOU know what Attack Rating means? AR is simply the modifier that determines if you can hit a mob with higher evades. It also increases dmg of the weapon 100% for every 400? points of AR. Adds +240 damage... hahaha
Moniker @ 2006-01-14 16:27
I dont get what you people are bitching about? 575 nano is chump change at 185... Most profs have a short duration damage/attack rating nano that they cast before battle, if you hate it so much dont use it.
Keex @ 2006-01-16 15:07
Snakebite: He's in Efp, nothern part. must be spawned by killing obidience inspector.
Phracton @ 2006-02-02 17:33
Just that i added something too ;) :
Im actually using this since lvl 185 all the time and love it... You have to recast it often, so what? Instacast @ the lvl you'll be able to use it and the nano is almost nothing @ that lvl as well. And about the short duration: Nuking MPs/Crats... have to hit their nuke button every few seconds... so... omgz! Just consider it like an Engi mini-nuke ;)
And btw: Not that I PVP alot but due to the AR boost running this nano on the bot is sometimes the only way the Bot can hit a player (with trimmers, highest snare aura/ omni pol pac.)...
And most important: It makes the bot and dog glow in a cool green! ;)
Angel14 @ 2006-03-16 22:24
Obediency Enforcer is easy just needs a better spawn.... killed him 3 times now sofar
Driad @ 2006-04-01 16:09
Quote from Phracton @ 2006-02-02 17:33

Try to pvp with snare aura on your pets... It's funny, makes you wonder if devs at FC never tried to test pvp with engi ;)
Msauss @ 2006-04-23 18:12
won't this reflect 60% of all damage? O.o
houserocker @ 2006-04-25 22:53
No, it does not reduce damage taken by the bot, but rather hurts enemies hitting the bot for another 60 points of damage each time they swing. A friend of mine recently got this and during testing on low AC monsters (ground AI raid) it increased damage by about 200 points so...definately worth it.
Msauss @ 2006-05-15 16:00
lol! 575 nano cost is high for a lvl 185? my lvl 138 engineer has about 3.9k nano, and can easily get nano kits that add 600 nano, nano cost isn't that bad then...
vlada @ 2006-06-03 21:48
this nano is a ******* bytch to camp,1 month of camping and one OE spawned and he droped nothing...
Yakobo66 @ 2006-06-16 15:29
just to clear up all the stupid posts on reflecting damage...
ShieldAC = damage DONE to a MOB
ReflectAC = % damage PLAYER doesnt get
Vonkepps @ 2006-09-03 22:18
We recently completed an org effort to get 6 SoTOS crystals for 6 engis. We spent all day Friday, Saturday and Sunday camping for it. We have killed countless "Obediency Inspectors" and about 7 "Obediency Enforcers". However, we only took home 4 sotos nano crystals. After checking GMS we thought we could buy the remaining two. There was one in GMS for 80m and another for 100m. The next day we checked GMS to find that they were both gone, and no more sotos for sale in GMS.

Crappy nano?
Poor spawn rate?
Poor drop rate?
And every engineer is desperate to get one...
...go figure,
I guess we like trophies!
houserocker @ 2006-09-12 19:34
It's not a crappy nano, and your own example shows a drop rate of greater than 50%, which is damn nice considering the drop of other items.
zerogates @ 2006-12-01 23:14
Ok the last post saying this is a crappy nano is like 3-4 years old when this was a pain and practically useless nano. So noone believs it is crap anymore for what it does.
jpmcclean @ 2007-01-29 04:59
This nano rox, the only reason ppl are complaining of the high reqs is because they are froob. these reqs arent very high, i was able to selfcast this at lvl 190 with MC/Ts maxed, ql 200 imps( and a couple symbs ) and a comm realy that adds +20
Ilikebunnies @ 2007-05-14 08:33
Seriously, these requirements are not high at all.. and it gives AAO of 220.
You already get the most powerful pet in the game, and now you can increase the attack rating even more.
The only complaint would be the difficulty to aquire it.. but all the new stuff is hard to get.

Also, it's better than the exploding-pet crat nano which gives a crappy 3k absorb and basically shuts down your nano skills :p
Yakobo66 @ 2007-05-16 16:55
bunnies lies ;) crats get best pet ingame :P
Yakobo66 @ 2007-05-16 16:55
bunnies lies ;) crats get best pet ingame :P
Whitey @ 2007-07-22 02:43
Lol at everyone. mainly, the ppl complaining abt nanocost/reqs/cast-time are talking PRE SL, PRE AI and PRE NW, which means no 200+, no 5kish+ nanopool, no 55% nanocost (easily, anyway), no big shiny init buffing items, no comm relay, no towers, no nuthin. Without all this i'd agree, yeah it would be a shitty nano, and pretty much uncastable in a useful situation (eg, in a fight, lol).

Not anymore though!

*dances*
Shiare @ 2008-01-12 17:52
See that's the thing about MMO's...they often put things in MMO's when they first come out because they have plans to add expansions and/or new patches and items that will make use of such things that are unusable early in a MMO's existance. What makes AO different from most MMO's is that the Devs make it easy to dig into the database to see all the items whether they are usuable or not. AO devs don't seem to clean out their database of items they will never make active, test items and items players simply can't use. So now we look at the database and see such items (like this one back in 2002) and we assume such things are useless or unatainable.

Just remember, everything in a games database doesn't mean it's meant for us to have right now....some things are in there because they will give us new items months or years down the road which will help us use some items in the database. It all boils down to if an item won't unbalance the game. So in the beginning a dev might think an item would be good to implement later, but find out later on that it's not a good idea...and instead of just taking it out of the database (Like a lot of powerful items that's still in the DB), they simply leave them in. Remember that AO is one of those games that makes it very easy to see every item in the game...not all MMO's give players that freedom...or at least not that easily. SWG for example, we use to be able to extract the database but SOE change that and unless someone has learned how to parse the new format, the database for that game is no longer viewable or extractable....there are many other MMO's like this as well.
vampirella @ 2012-01-22 23:44
The Obedience Enforcer is a lvl 262 mob located at 1242 x 2786 in EFP.
Antagonist @ 2012-02-06 13:52
Overrated nano imo. Also difficult to self for non-nanomage froobs :(
