this looks like it could be extreamly usefull in PvP and PvM especially if you have a chemical weapon to go with it ... anyone have some personal experiance using this nano?
|
Notumsurrrge @ 2004-04-09 06:16
some say this nano and EQB are a good combo but i've heard negatives from NT's who've done that [taken from NT forums] - (we need our range advantage more than we think).

resonance blast > lotp + cotp...but get a ma in team with chem fists and nts will be mas best friend...start fight with lotp gives mas a nice little 13% Dmg...as u then use rb

GREAT NANO!
|
melonhead @ 2004-11-27 00:30
Maybe we shouldnt talk about it being good or even possibly good, god knows that nano has potential to make us slightly more usefull and it would then need to have its recharge doubled.....
|
Meinfeld2311 @ 2005-07-20 01:50
this nano is very nice to kill ai general or other high bosses if you have any martial artists in team, with the chemical fists, hecks, everywhere, its uninteresting to use this nano there because the killspeed is to high and the casting to slow

Kyr'Ozch Grenade Gun uses chemical and use this = uber
|
tegrere @ 2005-11-12 05:43
heh, also makes your chem nukes hit higher
|
KnightofNI @ 2006-02-01 17:05
AC Typedmg has nothing to do with nukes damage unfortunately.
|
furay @ 2006-02-12 18:57
what makes my nukes hit for minimum damage so often? targets NR?
|
Salvena @ 2006-02-21 16:30
@KnightofNI - Care to back that up? Seems pretty obvious that they break up the Nukes by damage type for a reason, and I do get differing damage based on the targets AC vs. the damage type of the Nuke.
|
dJinN @ 2006-03-02 23:42
Maul of Gwyddawg uses Chemical as well.

sorry but this is wrong. AC does indeed effect nuke dmg. try nuking any RK mob, and then nuke a heck, you'll see what i mean :P
in conclsion - use this nano+ checmical damage nanos. too bad RB uses radiation :(
|
Payo @ 2006-12-19 07:14
it does change damage. Chemical Ac is just a defense against chemical attacks. Therefore using a chemical damage type nano would do more damage.
|
junkerman @ 2007-03-19 10:58
okay, just a little tip i figured. not really sure if its true, but it seems rational.
i think that every 10 points of any given AC will provide a subtraction of 1 point of damage of the AC type.
okay, thats not what im posting about tho.
im figuring that once the chemical AC is lowered to 0, then the damage is unaffected by the AC at all. BUT: i wonder if ACs can be lowered to negative points? also, along with that; what would happen if i were to nuke a target with this nano running, lowering their AC to negative, will the nuke do extra damage?
its just something that came to mind.
|
polluct @ 2007-05-03 17:20
in pandemonium u have actually have negative fire(?) ac's
|
acrocrash @ 2007-06-15 20:52
Ok, to set some things straight for people that have not played an NT.. Nukes are "nano resistant checks on rolls" not ac.. This is a team dmg nano. Whenit lands you aid the dmg dealers for chemical dmg, you lower the chemical ac meaning that for a 5000 AC check the mob is going to take 500 points more dmg ( on an aevrage dmg take to AC check scale) But with 110% nano resist in SL, this gets reissted sometimes. I never bother with it to busy doing mass dmg from other nukes. Hence why all added dmg does not work with NT's just % dmg add's IE: hood of wicked inspuration, works the same way as healing % a doctor gets.
As to rk mobs and sl mobs, there really isnt a compairison, sl mobs usualy have x3 the ac's and NR and dmg and hp check to most rk mobs. and yur min dmg in sl all the time, as to the people that allways say, chemical dmg on hecklers, this is a myth.. yes they seem to be more prone, but if your AR is high enough it doesn't matter what dmg you deal, if your weapon is fire, chem, cold dmg whatever.. if your ar is great enough you will match min dmg on your weapon to the mob ( hecklers as some seem to point out, is funny, why do you think you never hardly see MA's tanking hecklers, because at that lvl ( mid 150-190 usualy a weapon class can get greater AR)...In conclusion, it's pretty clear ask your self if you can't land a nuke it get's reissted.. ac's don't resist nano resistance does, Yes if it lands and you can spam chem dmg after, you may see a slight change but considering how old the nano is and going full deff, with 11 seconds..hehe, doing mass dmg is nice, but guess who goes straight to the top of a hate list. :P

To: junkerman
Yes you can drain ACs to negative (at least in PvP, been drained by agents in TL5 pvp)..
|
Murderall @ 2008-01-17 19:14
Just to rebutt Acrocrash, Hecklers do indeed have lower chem ACs than others and ur min dmg is higher because of this. To test this just take a 170ish agent to Ado hecks, start fighting and hit a perk called Chaotic Modulation. This cycles ur dmg type, u will see ur min dmg change depending on what u are doing at the time. Chem min dmg is indeed higher.
U do have to take into acount specific +dmg items when doing this. (aruls)
|
Jornado @ 2008-01-27 08:00
@Acrocrash - 150 MA, 1.5k AR, hits for min dmg on ely hecks w/fists of stellar harmony, normal (same as RK mobs) with chem fists running. Damage + mods are somewhat higher on fire as well. Basically, its a well known fact that most mobs have significant AC holes, its just more dramatic in SL since the differences are proportional to the total ACs. And I see plenty of other MAs tanking hecklers - all using chem fists - the main reason evade gimped MAs dont do it is b/c they don't have the HP to handle the hecklers hits. This nano may not be terribly useful, but your reasons for stating it isn't are complete bullsh*t.
|
Ladunker586 @ 2009-09-20 03:52
@Acrocrash "and yur min dmg in sl all the time"
you don't hit for min dmg all the time just b/c your in the Shadowlands, its because a lot of the mobs in sl have 3x or more the AC you will find on mobs in rk...... just like you said.
As for your argument about AR, first of all its ridiculous, you are saying just get a ton of AR and you're fine(duh). Getting the most out of what you have (skillz ;) is what wins fights. Knowing your enemy's weaknesses or creating a weakness and using it against them, that is what this nano is all about. Also AR has vry little to do with choosing a tank, again skill is ftw, combined with a good taunt toolset + max health ofc.
|
Ladunker586 @ 2009-09-20 04:31
I think what you were going for was: Say a heckler has 10000 AC all types, so -1000dmg right? but since you don't hit for negative dmg with your weapons, you hit for min dmg unless you can get your AR and weapon dmg to the point that you are doing more than 1000 dmg per hit, then AC has no affect on the dmg over 1000, so it seems like your hitting an AC hole, but really your just rising above it. No exact numbers here btw.

Something tells me this can't be selfed by a froob NT...
|
FirePaw @ 2010-08-02 20:40
I'm gonna lick ya!
|
jeycihn @ 2013-12-11 19:17
Lick is meant to be used along with Corruption of the pest, and yes, froob NT's can cast it. there was an rk2 froob NT that used Lick+corruption+chem rifle, and he did very well with it in pvp.
|
Briandmg @ 2014-01-10 12:47
@jeycihn
I need to know who this froob NT is. Would be interested to meet him. Don't think you can achieve 1026 to BM MM and MC all by yourself.
Proof:
http://auno.org/ao/equip.php?saveid=194074
This setup squeezes out as many points in MC,BM and MM as possible. No weapon equipped here because the NT is using a chem rifle (doesn't add nanoskill points).
With trickledowns, this setup and self buffed, I'm only calculating 895 MM, 936 BM, 1045 MC. I'm still 100+ points short here. I.e. to say, that NT probably had mochams running. Naughty outside buffer ;)
