considering the limited ways of buffing multi melee and multi ranged, I'd say it's far from useless. Of course I haven't searched the DB for better items though. Might be some other items that are just as good but easier to get and in that case, this could be considered useless. however, I hate saying things are useless because there's a use for everything to different players.
