How rare? Which Mantis' drops them?

I killed over 500 mantis
but I got only one :(

I spent ages trying to get this..got together a really hot team and blitzed smuggler's den..It is well worth it however, as you can see from the stats..a must have for all soldiers of level 90+ who want a little extra something in their inventory..it goes really nicely with enhanced pads of dedication by the way.

The drop rate was fixed a while ago--pre-SL. It only took me about 30 min of killing grey level 100 mantis to find one.

100 mantis? near queen or other side?

through out the whole den past the entrance and the next few rooms is where I have seen it drop twice from my last 2 times down there. the drop rates must have been fixed cuz it didn't take me long to get it.

Gues im unlucky then tok me like 150+ killes to get it.

Got one in about 30 kills. Unfortunatelly I was not with my soldier.

I've killed hundreds and completely forgot about this items being there.. When it dropped I wished I had my soldier there D:

interesting that this is shown as ql 100, while all other deformed things for other professions are ql 200 ( i know they are SPECIAL IG.. though...)

omg omg omg. i got it alone at lvl 121 after killing 6 mantises ^^

its not that rare, i have gotten 4 of em after 3 trips to smugglers, one day there and you should be guaranteed one.

lol people are talking about all these kills, i got mine on my first kill. no joke. too bad i'm a martial artist, huh? :P

As a froob sol at level 80, I think I'd still prefer Barrow strength and enhanced pads to this when I hit 90. I wouldn't want to sacrifice back slot or token board either. Useful twink item though.

took about 10 or 12 kills to drop.. good stuff using this over barrow strength any day

why not regard this as buffing item for full auto? four of these and you get an additional 24 full auto.

being a unique item makes it hard to have 4 of them

yikes doh

took almost an hour of constant killing, cleared the whole den of lvl100 mantises twice. But don't worry they still drop.

They now also drop from the high level mantises in Smuggler's Den; ravagers, breeders, etc.
