From what nanos/stuff are you drawing those numbers from?

well lets say a random MA:
8% from scope
24% from UVC
1% from helm
2% from these globes
= 35%

Maybe u can get more.

Don't forget that weapons/fists have a base crit on them as well (chance of crit without any modifiers) and the higher your attack rating, the more crit increase (or less crit decrease) you will have, so these factors add a couple of % to the final total as well.

And + 1% from Crat Coffee..

You can use an AI scope for +15%. Get a form of kitty from an adv for another 1%.

all in all my 187 MA pres has about 69% crit chance =D

It's good for MA of a high level. Consider 100 hits. With say MotR u would deal 3200ish extra damage in 100 hits. If u were fighting aliums and u had a goc instead, you would crit 1 more time in 100 hits than normal and so 6k+ damage.

Hmm true but place a high lvl Flurry of Blows for 20 secs for an uber +20 critical, plus UVC for +24 add, in criticals from scope and you are already over 70% critical. Paying 125mil twice for 2 more criticals lol at that time might be an overkill but I know many do it still. Meh, if i can critical 60% of the time, hehe mob is usually dead in like 5 secs max hehe in a good solid team, :).

dude at higher levels like raids , why would u want VTE ? its freaking 3 more dmg n maybe some added life , but at say 200+ , a MA won't be tanking , an enforcer will , MA r the DPSers , for those who dont play WoW its Damage per second , 1% crit for 2 shoulders is A LOT considering how many times u have to hit enemies like say Beast ? 2% will mean ALOT

So if I count well, Barrow of strength is better than this if I use Kyr'ozch Axe.
100 hits with barrow = 1500 dmg
100 hits with GOC = 600-1200 depending on level of the axes
Ok so you lose 50 nano, 5 hp and 3 stamina with barrow...but gain 3 strength and nice line resists.
GOC overated? For a lot of professions/weapons/levels definitely.
And I didn't compare with MOTR! :p

On a regular axe advy without outside buffs and too ubah stuff:
3 % min crit chance (without crit reduction)
15% scope
1 % kitty

gives 19% minimum crit chance. 2 GoCs will give you 21% minimum crit chance as well as +20 AAO, which can increase crit chance in itself.

According to AO Mainframe, 200s of fighting with 300 axes, 2000 AR and 19% crit chance + Barrow Strength would give 197 800 points of damage. 200 s of fighting with same axes, 2010 AR and 20% crit gives 198 800 damage. All this against 10 k AC. This is ofc not including def rating and the increased no of hits with extra AR. The difference is not big, but still the GoC comes out on top. Further, if we're talking PvP, critting can be far more important than a little extra damage since duration is very short normally. Getting an extra crit in a vital situation can be a godsend. Not sure how well the Mainframe dmg calc works, but a little observation at least.

Just calculated this myself, and ofc in pvp goc>mor. but in pvm, especially when you have capped mbs, mor will be better in the long run. as adv with coffie, you can self 25%++, which will make you hit opponent with an unpredictable amount of dmg, rather than flat dmg from mor+bos and other dd stuffs.

New pads coming out in 17.5 patch are gonna own GoC back to the stone age where it belongs, and about damn time. Also some items to make those critscope huggers think twice, a HUD 3 item that flat out owns the RBP for damage...and other nifty things.

these globes are still nice for 120-180 ish pvpers, but definitively useless for all 180+
finally we'll get some goc at "decent" price again.

GOC will still be useable at TL6-7 because the new pen quest pads only go in the right shoulder slot.

Not true. 1% crit can be equated into damage. Shades, for example get around +28 damage/% crit. The number goes even higher for classes with heavy crit modifiers like an MA. Thankfully the MoR does not require you to be wearing it to use it
