Well, a free 2k absorb is never bad, especially at PvP ^^
Even at very high levels, I think you could keep this armor in inevntory for this absorb :)

I equp GTA over this but i keep it in my inventory along with my withered flesh for the absorb feature..just rigth click it inside your inventory to use..u dont have to have it equipped ot use the absorb :P

I actually still have this lined up on my 216 enf.... I haven't used it in a loooong time, but it's there in case I ever actually need it.
