is it boss loot only?
realreal @ 2002-12-15 22:01
It is sold in supieror shops. I was looking for it lv15 mp now ,a while till i can use it :P
realreal @ 2002-12-15 22:02
or might have been advancde shop . its the highest ql shop
Lothori @ 2003-08-08 17:38
u can use this fairly early on, but ur gonna need moochies and a 132 wrangle, which is quite a lot in tips, and u need a LOT of ncu for all those buffs, but it is worth it
NewETown @ 2004-02-11 02:38
How would a wrangle help here?
Tzalloch @ 2004-03-18 10:35
Saves ya 5millions in yalm money, and you can do some funky arm waving while in flight :P
killerwingz @ 2004-04-05 22:29
can i use this nano in shadow lands?
Tzalloch @ 2004-04-18 04:19
User Inside Shadowlands ==
that means no
Icarys @ 2004-04-25 09:22
yeah doesn't it suck though, we buy a 5 Mil Yalmaha and they won't give us the common decenticy to let us use them in Shadowlands, what are they afraid of, a level 50 going to Inferno...?
imapler @ 2004-08-18 02:21
anyone know how much this adds to runspeed?
it clearly adds something
Talan @ 2004-08-24 09:38
I think buy getting off the ground you reduce traction, so flying of any type is faster then running with the exact same run speed, that at least makes sense.
imapler @ 2004-08-26 01:48
yes but if you would translate that speed into a number, what would it be?
Dokalicious @ 2004-08-28 01:57
@Talan wtf are you talking about... this is a game, Funcom did not incorparate RL physics in the game =->

it probly increase your RS by 600 - 1000
Dworkin @ 2004-10-08 21:52
for those who dun know wrangle allso raises all nano skills by 132 d'oh wtf? right ;)
ps2freak9191 @ 2004-10-09 22:21
"Talan @ 2004-08-24 09:38

ya, would make sense but i dont think FC woudl go through all that time to make AO that complicated :P
Decimatus @ 2004-10-10 18:06
You would go faster simply because you are going in a straight line, instead of up and down hills, around rocks/mobs, and swimming across lakes and rivers.
Sypiken @ 2004-10-18 01:41
Nice nano. Saves MP's for the money of a yalm.
Kovax14 @ 2004-10-25 01:53
is it only for outdoor use?
santero2 @ 2004-12-12 08:31
ok here is the question. Can u cast this nano and then get on your ground vehicle? hhmm speed and fly plus a hell of a cheap yalm :)
teilomsas @ 2005-02-23 17:35
Is there an superior shop in borealis?I can only find a general and advanced shop.
ayten @ 2005-02-24 18:05
no you should check out jobe for the nano if you want to buy it
ayten @ 2005-02-24 18:06
mishing is always ezier if u blitz but you have to roll for the nano first... which can cause you to lose some creds =D
Sotamasiina @ 2005-03-01 18:27
doesnt all ground vehicles have "cannot be flying" in requirements? so this cant be used with cars :(
Selected @ 2005-03-03 10:56
It is corretct that groundnvechiles can't be used in flight... However, I would like to know if it is possible to use it with advent animal transforms... a flying wolf :D or flying with the reet form (the low level bird that doesen't provide flight, only run adn swim speed)

If anyone knows please post it here or message me ingame a Selected
Piona @ 2005-03-05 22:54
It is perfectly possible to use qw when morphed
Ricazel @ 2005-04-13 16:22
Whats the lowest lvl to get to use this?
Turningex @ 2005-04-13 19:07
regarding the speed:
Flightspeed is a set speed, that won't change no matter what. The run speed modifers on yalms are a joke ;).
Noone knows for sure how much it is, translated into runspeed, but at some point (higher levels) ur runspeed will pass the set flightspeed, and it will not be too beneficial to fly.
Of course, there will always be the benefit of avoiding terrain =)
Otrox @ 2005-04-20 16:08
I have to ask..
Why bother OE & tipping to get wrangle when the duration of QW is only 30 minutes.
SoliDoX @ 2005-04-23 04:21
well most dont take tip to be honest. but i dont understand why the wrangle and mochies .. once you zone its over ...
ath0 @ 2005-06-21 03:22
Doesn't make moving faster in terms of RS, and it's terminated when changing playfields, so it can hardly be a Yalm replacement. (BTW flight speed isn't a set speed; my Yalm is much faster). I was able to put on my wings at 73 (without any twinking, obviously=). A coolness nano more than anything, but a great one at that. Makes you a true meta-physicist! ;D
Delightdevil @ 2005-06-22 03:07
This is fun if u are agent - ruse of taren 3 , qw , and form of pit lizzard :D
Blackninja54 @ 2005-07-16 17:04
To pick up on the whole thing with.... Dose QWs make you faster, in some ways yes, since the fastest way to get to travel between any 2 points is a strate line, you dont have to travel over big hills or go around some very tall wall so it can cut down on some travel time.
lpx @ 2005-09-17 22:58
it's rollable and easy to use think i got mine on around 50 self buff. seems to be about the same speed of a yalm maybe a bit slower but you look cool & saves money. yalm is better however because every zone you have to recast and if you zone in a area over water get ready for a long swim. And dont even think about zoning to a clammer city if your omni or visversa or coming out of a mission area where you can't handle the local's the 12sec cast time will screw you everytime. Wish it did'nt wear out every zone other wise be no reason for yalm.
Dagul @ 2005-09-19 14:31
You only have to recast it after zoning if it's OEd ... Or after leaving a building. So besides shopping it's a very good yalm replacement. And yes, it in fact makes you faster, just try following a yalm and you'll see.
lpx @ 2005-09-28 01:33
Dagul, i've heard that from several people so i tried it and it still wont last a zone with me i have zero programs running & can cast it without any buffs at all. unless theres something more to it it wont work for me.
AlphaCenta @ 2005-10-04 21:29
After a while of levelling (mine at L100ish) you could cast QW easily, I'm not sure why it happens but at my place QW lasts when zoning like a calia's parrot does. (So it won't last when you zone into a building.)

What I want to know is if you ever can instacast this, if yes, what nano init do you need to have for it, and if no, how much casttime would remain for a L220 MP with all nano init boosting things?
Thewiteknite @ 2005-11-03 04:57
a very cool nano...according to something in the FAQs in a petition i sent it said "how come qw cancels when i zone?" then the answer was that the base skills has to be as high as the req's and it supposedly wont cancel...i wouldnt kno since im not a MP..btw can be bought in superior shop!
Delanan @ 2005-11-15 14:32
possible to cast nanos while flying??
malewerecat @ 2005-11-16 03:46
My level`216 MP can near insta cast this, and no it does not terminate upon zoning, that stops at around level 120ish.
Glargh @ 2005-11-22 05:48
You can't cast Nanos while flying, as casting Nanos is considered "Fighting".
Arrone @ 2005-11-29 02:12
Delightdevil @ 2005-06-22 03:07
This is fun if u are agent - ruse of taren 3 , qw , and form of pit lizzard :D

even better..agent FP engie..just when FP engie is about to run out cast Slayerdroid Transferance and then FP MP for quantum wings..then it'd be a tiny flying robot toy =P
Dumam @ 2006-02-03 16:53
In what lvl can U use this nano without wrangle and mochmans? But with imps, teachings and genral?
Shiare @ 2006-04-25 06:30
To answer those wanting to know how much it cost. For me, LVL 59 MP with 231 comp. lit. It cost 242,849 in Superior Shops. I rolled mine with my agent though, QL 105 Mission, sent me to the middle of clan territory though, pretty easy for my agent with 1000 Conceal. Oh, by the way, it was a find person mission too.
Shiare @ 2006-04-25 06:34
by the way, that was a team mission I rolled it in, not solo and took about an hour and a half to roll it.
rattjamann @ 2006-05-04 14:41
there is something with this that they should put in... u acually get more speed with this, alltho the runspeed remains the same, u travel way faster then running
Voriuste @ 2006-05-09 11:47
Flight speed is constant at about 14-15 units per second (xy coordinates, this might be metres? not sure, if it was it'd be 54km/h), i've done extensive testing with runspeed at -500ish (snares ftw) and as high as 1800 runspeed, exact same speed (using Yalmahas, different QLs tested too)
genius71 @ 2006-06-26 03:25
this looks really cool when u get a scythe (frost, energy or FBR, dosent matter), black cloak and matching hood and name urself "Reaper"

i scared a noob out of his flak one day doing this :p said "Im here to kill you, delete your insurance, and bring you to the Shadowlands. Twice." lol its fun =D
oh also u know the nanomage avatar with the 'mask' on? (good time party-mixer has this avatar) works good with this.

Just wish they wouldnt lift up their leg like a dog thats gonna pee when they do this nano :p
heisann @ 2006-07-09 02:37
atm I am following a 210 doc with QW on. Self I am 178 and got 1100'ish rs. Doc got 1600 with yalm
Zejus @ 2006-10-18 21:30
Actually it DOES NOT TERMINATE when you change playfields.. well, it does at first, but that's only because of a glitch where it checks your base skill instead of your buffed skill when you change zones. So this one worked properly for me at like 100.. until then, still cooler looking and cheaper than a yalm.

Runspeed: For a meta without any points in runspeed, this is always faster than going on foot. :)
(+ it looks cooler, and flying is just easier)
rattjamann @ 2006-10-29 04:59
if u look in ur ncu window as u zone, they are all "turned off" for a sec, in that time it checks ur skills and decides that u dont have the right skill and terminate it.. if u have enugh without buffs it should not terminate
rattjamann @ 2006-10-29 16:12
oh one more thing =D this + scythe + rabier halloween costume = UBAH
rattjamann @ 2006-10-29 16:38

Sebinox @ 2007-01-22 23:14
LOL i saw today a agent with Slayerdroid Transferance Ruse 3 and QW was so lol he was hovering after me :P Scared the shit outa me
Shiare @ 2007-02-21 10:11
I believe (not 100% sure, just my theory), but the reason you lose QW's when you zone is because of the playshift requirement check. Which I assume means that the game will check the requirement of the nano against your BASE skills when shifting to another playfield (or zoning). So if you don't have 480 base TS, BM and MM, then you will lose QW's when you zone. However, it may be that it's supposed to check against your current Skills (buffed or not) but there probably is a glitch with it which you can clearly see when lagging as you zone. Basically what happens when you zone is all your buffs listed in your NCU temporarily stop running (or disappear as if you don't have any buffs on at all), as your zoning, the game checks the requirements of any playshift items and so you fail the check and QW's cancels and you have to recast.

Now once you get past level 100, depending on your breed you may have 480 reqs. without any nano skill buffs at all....I'm nanomage and If not for title capping around 80'ish, I would have the base 480 skills without buffing.

Anyway, another thing that makes me believe there is a glitch is because I sometimes keep QW's when zoning even though that above issues happen. It's rare that QW's doesn't cancel (like once every 50+ times or so). I believe this is probably due to zoning real fast (like 2 seconds or so) because everytime that I can recall when QW's didn't cancel, I zoned really really fast as if I didn't even cross a zone border. This don't happen to me often as I typically lag a little when zoning (about anywhere from 5 - 10 seconds).

crazyc94 @ 2007-03-21 08:58
Ok, just to clarify for everyone here:

The reason that QW many cancel when you zone is due to the Playshift Requirements. When you zone, if you look at your NCU, you'll see that it's always empty. Well, QW's Playshift Requirements are checked before all your nanos are put back into your NCU.

However, NCU is the only thing that is cleared when zoning. All your equip stays when checking for Playshift Requirements. This means that if you have enough +nanoskills symbiants/implants, then it won't cancel.

(btw, I proved this with my MP at 88. She had crap imps in and QW would cancel at every zoning. Then I put in brain/eye/chest/waist symbs, and QW stopped cancelling).
genius71 @ 2007-05-04 00:06
what is nice about this is that agents in fp can use this...

User Visual profession == Meta-Physicist

:D
Ilikebunnies @ 2007-05-14 09:00
Lol I already said it checks your freakin' base skill, stop repeating. D:<
:)

Also unlike yalms, this doesn't actually increaes your runspeed, it just makes you "faster", so your pets still move slow as heck (since pet runspeed is based on your runspeed, from when you last zoned)
Ran-san @ 2007-08-12 00:47
Last patch (17.5) supposedly removed the "uncast when zoning issue".
dmytro1990 @ 2007-08-16 05:13
it did for sure, tested it.
Jihla @ 2007-08-19 13:59
You can all thank me later for getting rid of the silly skill check *cough*
wintypes @ 2008-03-26 15:31
nice icon
maxer585 @ 2008-07-05 07:39
Well if u can spare 100k get a high lvl mp to cast odins missing eye {+40 to psyhic, inteli, sense, and nano skills] then buff ur self to atleast 62 buff for imps then when u have about 40 of these skills get 50 imps to get masteries then do buff's i think it gets about 120 so yea my nt is lvl29 and has 200 nano skills and 427 mat crea >> not a twink only costed below 600k so way cheaper than 5m yalm
Blaumann @ 2008-07-07 13:27
How does casting a self-only nano on a high-lvl MP help you in any way and why should I pay him for selfbuffing? Also how did you save 5m for a yalm as your NT can't cast QW, not with Lvl 29 nor with Lvl 220.

oO
Teeko @ 2008-07-27 02:50
they should allow you to fight when flying in this form...that would be cool to see. be flying then all of a sudden you cast an attack nano and you see a lightning bolt come down from the sky :D
Teeko @ 2008-07-27 02:54
and btw i solod on my mp at 69 not twinked...was pretty easy highest imp i had in was like 110-120 and it was for mat met since TS and BM are usually pretty high cuz of pets req those skills. so i had no other imps in above maybe 80 so definetly not twinked. NM MP btw
Tessargi @ 2008-08-02 23:56
i laughed my a** off when i've seen an MP takin 2 steps on ground then 1 on air with this nano lol .. was like somethin from matrix
Freelance044 @ 2008-08-19 04:15
You can do some real funny stuff with this thing.
remember @ 2008-11-11 16:50
This looks fucking cool, I watched a video on utube. Fucking awesome!
evangoth @ 2009-02-23 18:19
utube? lol ^^
Vellizol @ 2009-03-06 03:43
Cheap Yalm Casted at 60 With a basic not twinked setup
Flatvia @ 2010-02-16 14:10
to calrify a couple of old posts about this being terminated when zoning (don't care if somebody's posted it in like 2009 or whatever... I'm not gonna read over 9000 posts to find out): it terminates if you zone into an indoors area, outdoors is fine.
jjp47 @ 2011-03-16 17:09
i cant find it on youtube i looked but it seems like there arnt many videos on there some one wana put the link in here somewhere or on my utube profile? breech5
woneo @ 2011-10-16 01:17
Useless nano, especially since they made available jetpacks for free which allow any prof to use them and it looks exactly the same as this nano with only the low vehicle requirements :)
Gr3yhawk @ 2011-11-24 23:04
"woneo @ 2011-10-16 01:17"

Except for those times when you cant equip your backpiece all by yourself ^^

Still, FC ruined this nano by giving jetpacks to everybody (not so cool anymore) :\
Suggesta @ 2012-10-08 21:13
The one reason why this is still good is if you have a HUD1 item twinked. Of course you can still run Banshee, but for froobs not wanting to spend money (or for the same coolness factor) it's a decent choice.
