Other than to fill them, I've not found any use for them either. Guess they are to store in your bank until the quest for it is made. ;)

if your trying to do the questline then you should farm the ones that are in the first rooms, the later ones dont drop em. Spent 4h in the big guys room and got then went back to start and got all 3 in 30 mins
