Item Database - Multi-Purpose Tuner

Multi-Purpose Tuner Icon #203583 This tool is truly indispensable. By a UIF (User Impulse Feedback system) it is able to analyze and tune both electrical, electro-chemical, mechanical, pseudo-mechanical, nano-electrical, nano-chemical and volatile nanobot processes. The uses of this tuner are too many to list.

It is used (according to the book in the booth) to make your own service tower (the personal, limited duration ones). Where did you get yours? They aren't sold in shops, and at QL 300, (is that the QL of the one you have?) they aren't currently missionable (I assume).

Found somethings out.
The QL you get in game is "special"
Omni get this from Supply Sqt. [forgot name =)] He's in the 2nd Omni base in Avalon (one closer to the west zone edge). You give him the gift wrapped basket everyone has been finding TONS of in missions. You will have to talk to him a bunch. I even had to accept a misison I had no hope of finishing before I was given the conversation item that was something like "Are you sure there isn't anything else I could do for you?"

I understand there is a similar NPC in a Clan base in W.Wastes. Neturals, I don't know, sorry. I hope you can talk to either of them.

Oh, forgot. I verified you can use this to make your own service towers. BUT: the QL 150 disc requires an 862 Mech. Eng. skill to activate. I don;t knwo what the QL 75 one needs, less than my aprox 590. The QL 130 shell I used on the QL 75 activated disk ('brain') resulted in a QL 75 inactive service tower. It was ALOT cheaper to buy the parts and make, than a pre-made QL 75 service tower.
There, more info than anyone could want on this item and it's uses =).
