Excellent Division 9 Plasmaprojector Icon #21145 This weapon was supposely designed by a high-ranking individual of Omni-Sci or Omni-Engineering. Rumour has it that he had an affair with a soldier in Division 9 RSGE. Some say it was Babe Suitt, but she usually denies this. It could also have been Maren Silvestrini. The weapon was meant to be a gift to whoever she was, but Omni-InterOps detected the thing, the production was stopped and the lovesick engineer secretly dismissed. The plans seem to have survived though since somewhere someone is secretly manufacturing this weapon in quantities.

this gun is cool but my Nophex II out does it in attack and also outdoes it in burst and the fling shots from my Nophex out does the div9's crits occasionally. This is still an awesome gun with the max 300 health and the 24 to init.

The Division 9's aren't that well of a rounded gun, they may do good damage, but at later levels they really start to suck.

This is the 2nd best gun without AI or SL. My 56 soldier can solo pretty much anything with a HOT buff and this gun.

kinda wrong to talk about a lvl20 char...
i've seen lvl 1 ppl killing lvl50 mobs... but u dont see a lvl220 kill a lvl300 mob...
but it is still a nice froob gun if you dont have nophex
at lvl71 a hellspinner might be better though

Because you will have a hard time to self-buff Full-auto buff <level 150 and they are rare. Unless you are using symb and perks. Also, heavy suppressor needs smg which is no buff for any sol. (cept smg expert +20).

Actually there is soldier SMG buff called "Total Focus" - increase all ranged weapons + 50.Maybe the era of AR is gone --> alternative--> Blackbirds with big minimal damage ,also they do 1,22 more damage when dual wielded ,still pain to get multi ranged and SMG without true buffs...

Nice gun series and can be used into the high levels (TL5) with the QL200 version. Other choice at the TL4+ levels is the Nophex II. At lower QLs it rivals the "Nova Flow - Mk IV" gun series. Advantage of the Div9 is the fast Burst special, which will yield a big chunk of the damage dealt at later levels.

Over rated, look into ql 200 sol k monsters and see a really good weapon, blackbirds are better, and the cyborg barracks guns are way better than this. Also no one with expansions should be using this gun.

(comments in the froobie context, expansion players have other guns to fool around with :-)

Blackbirds: They are, from the viewpoint of raw damage numbers, better; and they allow for a more defensive fighting (if not even full def) and have a fast Burst. Major downside: In the very end (aka TL6 levels) you will have ~130/150 (AR Mastery/AoP) less attack rating compared to (pure) assault rifles. A gun with good damage is worth nothing if you cannot hit. Nonetheless a very good alternative if you don't like assault rifles. Btw. dualwielded same QL Blackbirds deal 33% more normal damage (factor 1.33) than a single-wielded same QL Blackbird; the damage done by the Burst special is the same in both cases, though.

SOL K-94: Less attack rating than assault rifles (or pure pistols at that), like ~60/80. Very slow guns and long special recycling both for Burst and Flingshot, but higher normal damage. Like Blackbirds an alternative if you are sick of running around with a Div9. Projectile damage allows for usage of Artillery Tank Armor (http://auno.org/ao/db.php?id=204987 for Omni, can be hacked to remove faction requirement).

Hellfury/-spinner: Level locked to 175+ for the Boosted versions, which will be a replacement of the Div9, rather than being another gun option like the above two.

Heavy Suppressor: Didn't check into the attack rating numbers; slow recharge speed for both Burst (Div9 at 10 or 11 seconds, HS probably 35+ seconds) and FullAuto (usual problem of all RK FullAuto guns).

Personally I didn't use a Div9, but it's the standard froobie soldier gun and does a good job at this. The HP bonus helps in a number of situations. Keeping about the same skill set in requirements, the only alternative to this QL200 Div9 is the Nophex II (http://auno.org/ao/db.php?id=165140), which I consider the better choice.

As hinted above, obsoleted by the Boosted Hellfury (http://auno.org/ao/db.php?id=202279) at level 175+, if you want to stick to the assault rifle gun line.

I prefer the XCI-52, it doenst have burst or FA but it still packs a punch
