Item Database - NCU Hacker Interface

NCU Hacker Interface Icon #99279 NCU stands for Nano Controlling Unit. All NCU's have an area called 'overflow'. This is where superfluous nanobots are stored, until they can be utilized, although most modern Nano Programs produce no more than the exact amount of bots needed for the program. This means that many of us carry around large areas of NCU that could have been filled with useful bots.
The Hacker Interface effectively commands all types of 'roaming' bots into this area to aid your various nano skills. Using a hacker interface is generally considered an illegal action, and there is a 0,012 percent chance that the NCU will blow, but it's a risk most Fixers are ready to take.
NOTE: The Interface must be upgraded manually to follow the advancement of the user. Right-click on it to do so when you raise in level.

so people dont have to ask:
(Nanoprogramming Interface + Lockpick) = NCU hacker interface

My Fixer's best friend, other than his Shadowweb Spinner :-)

Kore!

what does it spawn once you use it above ql200?

On Use User Summon Item FINC
Betancore @ 2005-08-29 18:49
is this FPable?
Rogueshoe @ 2005-09-06 17:02
Profession == Fixer so no, not FPable.
4n7H0r @ 2005-11-06 15:33
take Nano Controller Unit for other profs, i love this item but its not uber at all because every nanoskill is dark blue and that means not only that you have to spend a lot of IP for it, you can skill only 3 points per level

next time when you get rs or hot from a Fixer think about wether its uber or not ;)
Ofex @ 2006-01-06 05:48
actually fixers raise nano skills four not three
Ofex @ 2006-01-06 05:49
per lvl
Keex @ 2006-05-10 16:21
skill color says nothing about how much you can raise them, only about the IP-cost

Double that question..
Keex @ 2006-07-01 02:26
there is no interace >200 :)
Mumon @ 2006-09-10 12:41
4n7H0r I'm not sure exactly what you are talking about. The NCU Hacker Interface only requires your Level to be better. It then makes all those dark blue nano skills a bit better, thus making it a touch easier to activate that nano program. This tool doesn't require you to spend any IP in any of the Nanoskills.

Basicaly every fixer should get this, as there is no reason not to have it.
pzkpfwVI @ 2006-10-21 01:01
costs a certain amount of credits for each level
balkaster @ 2007-02-16 15:00
Don't think so...take a look at this: http://auno.org/ao/db.php?id=160568. The Balaclava Helmet costs credits each time you lvl. There's nothing in the Effects that indicates credits are lost for lvling the NCU Hacker.
balkaster @ 2007-02-16 15:10
And I want to echo RobB and Mystixx's question: what happens at lvl 201? "FINC" is just this item incremented (i.e. the same item but one ql higher), but the On Use suggests that it continues to lvl when your character lvl is 201 or greater. Does it? Or is that a goof?
Flink @ 2007-03-07 13:18
You can use it and it summons the same QL200 again ... so in other words: nothing happens! :)
buttmuffin @ 2007-05-18 04:05
costs nothing to level too
Nerfbatz @ 2010-02-16 02:32
It's just a little troublesome if you want it on a lvl1 Fixer twink, because of the 66 Break and Eantry required to combine lock Pick and NanoProgramming Device.
Gaiaterra @ 2010-11-16 20:00
Just noticed it can be raised to QL220 now. Don't know when it was patched in.
