Item Database - Dreadloch Combat Remodulator

Dreadloch Combat Remodulator Icon #264837 This bizarre creation was the brainchild of a drinking club that met every Friday evening at the Dreadloch Weapons division mess hall. This version of their famous, or rather infamous, remodulator was a little more refinded with the specific purpose of using the accidental technology of the original to harness a very specific effect. While this version does even less damage than the original it has the effect of consistently reducing its target's evade skills.

1 thing...now engis > fixers! (LE nano and this).....massacre...
Wtb same thing for crat! :P
vlada @ 2007-03-22 16:40
dude,it uses ME as an attack skill,it sucks donkey balls ;/
vlada @ 2007-03-22 16:40
well against anyone who raised time and space that is ^^
Xira @ 2007-03-22 19:53
Ohhh.... Why!!! Im going to have to hide from Engis too!? o.o
Ilikebunnies @ 2007-03-24 00:32
Umm.. anyone bothered to look at the damage? It's only 25-50... lol

Clearly, this is a debuffing weapon (100% chance of lowering all dodge skills by 750).
Also, it means if you have high ME, your perks which rely on attack rating will land easily.
malewerecat @ 2007-03-24 03:37
ilikebunnies - the damage is so low but look at the attack/recharge, 0.02 seconds, it must be a kind of rapid fire automatic weapon, it's a tradeskiller weapon so with a lot of ME means a lot of AR.
Xira @ 2007-03-26 16:13
Attack time 0.02s
Recharge time 0.02s
Yeah, omg
Gavyyn @ 2007-03-29 15:44
dam use all tardbots ffs even the tradeskillrs can ruin ur dy >.>
Muhandes @ 2007-03-30 14:18
@Xira/malewerecat: Weapons are capped at 1/1, 0.02/0.02 just means it needs 462 ranged init to be 1/1 on full def.
farlath @ 2007-04-02 19:35
Whooooohoooo! My tradeskiller has hope for pvp again!
Ilikebunnies @ 2007-05-02 06:34
Hey, what happened to the engi only tag? :o

Hmm.. I plot!
(not that this would be useful solo without pets.. because there'd be nothing hitting your opponent, and if you want to hotswap, the nano only lasts 3 seconds... maybe in teams? or for other pet classes)
Xira @ 2007-06-06 14:51
@ Muhandes - Yeah I know that, .02/.02 is just wierd though 1/1 at full def with init debuffs? :P
Phracton @ 2007-06-15 11:46
Plain and simple: This weapon sucks. Your basically doing insignificant dmg and the debuff just doesn't matter at all because pets hit anyways. Even in teams or massraids i don't see any significant effect of the debuff. Im using it anyways because i didn't have to spent a single ip into weaponskills or ranged ini that way and could max all tradeskills (dont want to start a discussion about what sense maxing tradeskills makes) including Psychology, b&e, also all evades. @ 220 it hits for ~400 dmg with an average setup (2.2k AR, no dmg setup). Good thing about this you can get a pretty high AR as an eng and it checks TS, so you always hit on players and most mobs. Its only an option though if you want a pure tradeskiller and have other chars to perform certain tasks or a good org behind you. A weapon like this without the proc or specials but higher min dmg (like 250-250 (250)) would be nice for PvM though. :P
broneweek @ 2007-11-25 14:03
VS NT this is not help... ~2200 TS as defend skill
Gurudee @ 2008-01-31 03:41
This is a pvp weapon.
If you wear it to hit dyna's, you need to reroll.
If you cant see the value in a 100% removal of 750 evades in pvp...reroll.

VS NT this is not help... ~2200 TS as defend skill

aye, considering On Hit Target Cast Nanite Interruption 100% chance fires on misses too :P
Vabla2 @ 2008-08-06 04:30
I just love FC humor. Giving fixers a nemesis nano aimed at engies and giving engies a weapon that's basically screaming "anti fixer". At least it doesn't have AS.
Xyphos @ 2008-09-01 04:16
(0.02 / 0.02) means that this will fire as 1/1 on full def without any inits raised

(ME as AR / TS as Def ) means no weapon skills needed either and this will hit alot - engi's can get 2.6k or higher skill, vs most other prof's 1500 TS avg.

The damage on this sucks but the proc is good... Clearly it's a team pvp weapon, as engi's are in fact a supportive class... plus your team will love your blockers.

for those interested in this, I've made a setup that uses it.

Xyphos @ 2008-09-01 04:18
in addition, use the composite TS buff for +200 more AR. (^_^)
aboynemdsoo @ 2008-11-25 17:50
so, with some Arul Sabas, and projectile dmg boosting clusters/symbs and other gear, +300 boost to dmg should be no problem, right? And at .02/.02 attack/recharge, you're looking at 25 hits per second? Non-dualable weapons at 1/1 hit once in 2 seconds, so for this weapon, that would be 50 hits in 2 secs. Doesn't that work out to 300 x 50 = 15000 in 2 seconds? Sounds ok to me...FA level dmg every hit? cool.

But, it seems way too good to be true...what am i missin?
aboynemdsoo @ 2008-11-25 17:52
er...not every hit, every 2 seconds - average time for the other weapon to hit once. WTB comment editing. And more careful posting for me :-)
Threeze @ 2008-12-02 09:31
you're missing that you can't attack/recharge weapons faster than 1/1.
.02/.02 just means you wont need to raise inits to be 1/1 at full defence, it will ALWAYS be 1/1 at full def... like someone above said already.
aboynemdsoo @ 2008-12-03 06:08
hehe, couldn't figure out what Xyphos had been smoking to get 1/1 from .02/02...guess i should have been questioning my own state of mind instead. Thanks for the clarification.
Ats @ 2008-12-15 08:30
this is deadly in the hands of a crat.
Saetos @ 2009-05-12 04:02
No weapon can fire below 1/1. If you get an amount of init that would make this fire at or lower than 1/1, it will go to 1/1.
Backstabber @ 2009-05-17 23:12
mmk this is sorta useful, as a shade this debuff hurts a lot in pvp and i dont really have enough TS to evade it.. pets that normally dont hit me all of a sudden are critting me and bleh it just isnt cool :P
O-P @ 2009-08-03 07:44
To be honest, almost all profs require to raise TS for their nanos except Advy...
Binarybot @ 2010-03-17 22:35
Raised, yes... but enough to avoid being hit by an engineer with 2.6k+ ME self buffed? Dof / Limber wont help, but crats may come out ahead because of their high AAD count. And it only takes 1 hit to land -750 evades, and that could be enough to open the door for others. Definitely a team pvp situation.

The debuff goes off even on misses. If someone with a remod is shooting at you, you have -750 evades.
Ats @ 2010-11-29 05:38
yeah doesn't matter if the guy had 10k Time and Space, its always going to debuff you.
Shakesbeer @ 2011-04-23 17:52

WTB dual wield with the engi pistol...

Overall looks like an interesting gun, also gives me a reason to bug Traders for their Maestro.
