Don't bother camping this. If you get REAL lucky and find a QL10+ Chimera Metal Bone Pipe, keep it, it is gold, but it does NOT drop from the Chimera boss in the Training Grounds. Unfortunately, the pipe is important to the formula like the Silvertail horn is for the Silvertail dagger. Word is that some people have found QL15 Basic Firearms (the part that is built first) drop from Hiathlins in Nasc Frontier, but in about 200 kills I haven't seen any drop of any QL, so again, if you do, keep it (for an alt likely).
A comparison of the lowest QL and highest QL components that I have found by farming the Training Grounds follows. I did this mostly because the notum-infused chimera pistols WOULD be the best weapon for a nano-caster through L40-50 (possibly until you can twink on CDRs) but in a few alts I've never been able to get them. Its a shame, because I'm pretty sure that this is just another bugged loot table.
Even so, QL9 Chimera Pistols beat out most QL20 pistols given the very low Pistol + Flingshot reqs and no professional requirement. Advy's stick with the BBI Faithful, but for those of us just looking for cheap good damage at low levels, this is it. They beat out the newbie solar powered pretty doggone easy.
Bone Pipe + Accumulator = Firearm + Soul Stone = Chimera

sorry for the crappy formatting. End result is QL10 soul stone + accumulator still will end up as a QL9 weapon due to the QL5 bone pipe drops (maybe a QL6 or 7 can drop from normal chimeras, but no way will you see a QL10+).
