Item Database - Bootleg Beamers 'n Bolters (OP-CC)

Bootleg Beamers 'n Bolters (OP-CC) Icon #117947 Hacks into the Omni-Pol Secured Supply channel and creates a dummy supply order for a distance weapon. This order is instantly Grid-warped into the inventory of the fixer, with the appropriate amount of credits being deducted. To avoid detection, it is necessary to attach the dummy order to an existing order, so you can never be entirely certain of the type of distance weapon that will be delivered. NOTE: You must have an empty slot in your inventory for the transfer to be successful (you will still be charged even if the transfer is unsuccessful). The system performs a regular inventory check, and any items found to have been delivered to the incorrect location are Grid-warped back into storage.

Datagutt @ 2006-05-30 15:06
cant sell to shop :>
Sarouka @ 2006-07-03 18:17
not only can you not sell them to shops the items are temporary. i like to summon alot of this stuff while im bored and draw pictues on the wall with the little question mark boxes. the weapon and armor lines of these nanos are more of a novelty item than a practical tool.
Zackareth @ 2006-08-30 21:44

docburlac @ 2006-09-11 10:38
so, whats the use of this line ? at high lvl i dont see any advantage. maybe the ammo summon line
Shiare @ 2007-04-06 07:18
If your a paid account, sure this line is crap as almost everything RK is when you have all the cool SL/AI/LE toys...duh! For froobs though, it's a nice alternative to havint to buy or blitz armor. The quality seems to be fixed at certain levels though so you'd have to twink to get higher quality armor.

Anyway, the use I found is for example, my 68 fixer can summon QL80 armor and twink into it. I'm not sure how long it last before it goes poof (hopefully longer than GA), but point is, I don't have to buy any armor at all, nor do I have to blitz any. The chance that it disappears during combat is only a matter of learning how long it last before it disappears and keep track of that time. Then just make sure your not in combat when it's about to disappear, summon some new armor and get going.

One thing I hate though is it randomly summons armor, so it could take a while to get a full set of a specific armor.....a full set of same quality is a bonus though from what I hear....seems you get a slight defense bonus for wearing a full set of armor that is all the exact same quality...not sure how true that is since I've never had a such, I always mix-and-match my armors.
donger @ 2007-11-13 00:06
thats a load of bullshit shiare
josh3353 @ 2008-06-14 07:10
QL 30 carb > w/e shit this nano makes :P
if you gonna get a summon armor nano...get GA?
Binarybot @ 2009-02-26 22:01
Used to be able to use these nanos to summon Mausser Particle Streamers, to hack and make into perm MCS. Now you can no longer tradeskill temp items though :(
LoneSoldier @ 2009-05-19 08:24
Do these summon item lines just create a random junk item? I mean, if its random, its probably just gonna make one of the many, many, many items that nobody cares about or uses.

"I don't have to buy any armor at all, nor do I have to blitz any."

not only does this nano summon weapons not armor but it does cost u and probly more over a long time because u hav to re-buy with this and it is random what weapon u get, so u could go through 20k creds before u get a good weapon u could buy for less
